A small victory: Since my childhood, I’ve always been drawn to handcrafted products, though I never quite understood why. I also couldn’t figure out why they were often more expensive. Now, running The White Mulberry , a company that celebrates the beauty of handcrafted products made by small businesses around the world, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the thought and effort behind each piece. Every handcrafted piece tells a story—one woven with care, dedication, and passion. While large companies aim to satisfy customers, there’s something special about a crafter’s intent. They imagine the smile, the joy, and the connection their product creates when it’s held for the first time. At The White Mulberry, we aim to preserve that beautiful emotion, ensuring our makers know their creations will be seen and cherished by countless customers. Last year, we worked on Jharokha ( window) boxes for Diwali, and while they were well-received, we weren’t fully satisfied. We pour our hearts into everything we do. Our team continued refining the concept until we found a solution we truly loved. This year, we’re excited to bring the final design to life. Hey Guys 👋 Day 20/30 – Graphic Design Challenge 🌟 Intro As Diwali approaches, I’ve created a special promotional design for Happy Sweets! 🎆🍬 This vibrant poster is for their Diwali Special starting October 20th. The goal is to capture the festive spirit of Diwali, enticing customers with delicious traditional Indian sweets and warm, celebratory vibes. Design Concept The concept behind this design was to highlight the essence of Diwali—a festival filled with lights, sweets, and joy. I used a bright orange backdrop to symbolize the energy and excitement of the festival. The inclusion of traditional Indian sweets like gulab jamun and barfi, combined with decorative elements like the Diya and colorful rangoli, brings the festive theme to life. The fonts were chosen to convey a balance between elegance and fun, with the word “HAPPY” in a playful cursive to emphasize the joy of the celebration. 🎉🪔 Lessons & Reflection This design taught me the importance of color psychology and how it can evoke specific emotions. The warm tones instantly give a festive and inviting feel, while the imagery of sweets makes it mouth-watering! I also focused on balance—making sure the text, images, and festive elements harmonize without overpowering one another.
