Event 5/6 Today the Cath Baxter Voice Coaching tour returns to London, to Whitehall! 😉 I'm delighted to be supporting the business management team at the Department for Business and Trade - as they prepare for important conversations. In our professional life, there are times where we need to assert ourselves and set boundaries. But let's face it, these conversations can be tough. That's where this session on Communication for Results comes in handy. Here's what we'll cover: Preparation: We'll explore the nitty-gritty of what it takes to ace your upcoming discussions. Technique: Learn practical communication strategies to get your point across effectively. Excited to support these hardworking civil servants with the tools they need to navigate tricky conversations! #VoiceCoaching #PracticalSkills #ProfessionalDevelopment

Where are you on the Facilitation and Facilitator Spektrum? Thomas Lahnthaler and I had a blast yesterday evening when we explored the edges of the facilitation spectrum with the Butter 🧈 community (thank you for inviting us Anamaria Dorgo!) and shared how we can be at very opposite ends and still effectively (and joyfully) co-facilitate. The beauty of this simple tool we developed for the session is that it allows everyone to reflect on their way of facilitation without the judgment of right or wrong. It also uncovers many (hidden) assumptions about what it means to facilitate. Should facilitators be neutral? Should they keep the time? Should they be responsible of the safe space? Should they clarify instructions? The moment we question these assumptions and allow room for flexibility, we open opportunities to create our own signatures! But of course, there wasn't enough time to diver deeper into this! So, I feel very inclined to explore these different edges and the space in between in more detail and with more conversations - watch this space! This is such an important topic: How to legitimately bring ecology and climate-conscious thinking into our work! Please read the post below from Eve Turner for details and participate in the book circles, it is all free but participation is essential! #climatechange #coaching #ecology
Master Executive Coach and Coach Supervisor, Author, former Chair APECS, co-founder CCA, founder GSN
Since the CCA was formed in 2019 the most common question people ask is how do we legitimately bring ecology and climate-conscious thinking into our work. The CCA begin an 8-week journey through book circles, with full guides provided, starting April 1st, exploring that question through the CCA book 'Ecological and Climate-Conscious Coaching: A Companion Guide to Evolving Coaching Practice.' The late Ali Whybrow, Dr Josie McLean Professor Peter HAWKINS and I brought 70 contributors and wrote this book together to support this exploration. Huge thanks to Anne-Marie Brest, PCC for doing such a beautiful job of preparing the guides and David Floyd - First On The Beach and Amel Sedaoui for all they do on the technical side to make things happen on the website. The circles are part of the extraordinary Seasonal Heartbeats Community Festival https://lnkd.in/eE2T3iiv which starts on March 6th, and each circle will be led by dedicated leaders with no more than 10 in a circle. There are guides for the 8 weeks here https://lnkd.in/es4Kg9FT so please do lead or join a circle. These can be offered face-to-face or virtually, in any language. Please do share this post widely - all the materials are free and open access, and the circles will be free to join too. Join us for this virtual session with Inbal Sansani, M.Phil, J.D. at our 2024 Annual Conference on June 6! Register today: https://lnkd.in/ewkzprw6 Conflict is a natural part of life. Better boundaries can improve relationships, reduce and prevent conflict, and support conflict resolution. In addition, boundaries can reduce misunderstandings and resentment, and foster trust, cooperation, and satisfaction. Boundaries are essential to relationships and conflict resolution because clear communication and expectations help people to feel safe(r). Until we know we can make and hold boundaries, we might not be comfortable enough to relax, be our true selves or open our hearts toward safety and resolution. The word 'boundaries' is used a lot – and often what is shared is misleading – or at least not the full picture. The presentation will debunk common misconceptions about boundaries and offer practical strategies so that people can be more confident setting and upholding boundaries that are clear, aligned and accurately communicated. The main teaching points will include: - 7 myths that get in the way of maintaining clear and aligned boundaries (that we often internalize as doing or having something wrong with us); and - 7 actionable strategies to both understand the deeper reasons people might struggle to uphold certain boundaries (and what can be done about it). ACR-GNY’s 2024 Annual Conference is presented by our 365 Sponsors, ADR Notable and Columbia University Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.

Love it, there are many styles when it comes to executive team coaching and facilitation. What is the style you inherited and which one you'd like to develop more? I guess it's key to be "agile" and flexible; to be able to adhere to the situation, context and needs of the team at hand. #leadershipagility #sustainablechange #humancenteredleadership
