Why should you attend DjangoCon or other conferences? 🤔 It's a question I asked people and shared on our Foxley Talent YouTube channel 🔌 Well, I am pleased to say that someone I met at DjangoCon Europe this year who gave a workshop, messaged me yesterday to share the success of the event and why you should! 💡 I met Christian Tanul on the morning of the conference on a Django Social walk along the pier front. We had a great chat and after learning about his workshop (Functional LLM Chatbots - HTMX, Function Calling & LLama 3) and knowing the interest in HTMX/Chatbots from a recent London Django Meetup, I was telling people I met throughout the day to attend ☀ This successful workshop resulted in Chris managing to secure a new client and he is now helping build their project. On top of that fact, Chris also managed to secure previous work by explaining and sharing his side projects (I've championed this advice in my CV article) 🎉 So, if you are wondering why you should attend a conference, speak or give a workshop, consider this as 1 of the many reasons why you should! 🎉 With certificates now in my hand it is time to announce that Milestone Achieved: Completed the Python Course at Techspace Azerbaijan ! 💥 After an incredible 5-month journey, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve successfully completed the Python course at TechSpace Azerbaijan, earning Certificate of Distinction. This opportunity was made even more special thanks to a Technest scholarship, which covered 90% of the course fee. 🙌 Throughout this journey, I gained valuable skills in: ✅ Backend Development with Flask and Django frameworks ✅ Databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL ✅ API Development using Django REST Framework ✅ Frontend Basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript ✅ Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles ✅ Deployment with NGNIX With these skills, I’m now confident in building the back-end side of websites, either through Jinja templates or API-based architectures without accessing the front-end code.
