“Welcoming the stranger” is a tenet of many faiths that celebrates the practice of hospitality and charity to newcomers, and has been the guiding principle of Catholic Migration Services for over fifty years. Throughout changes to the political landscape, Catholic Migration Services continues to honor this message through our dedication to serving low-income and immigrant New Yorkers. This giving season, we will be sharing the stories of just a few of the thousands of people who turn to Catholic Migration Services for help, including: -Servicemen like Ellis, whose mother and little brother were facing deportation as he prepared for deployment with the U.S. Army, -Youth like Julian, who was abandoned by his parents and unable to attend school, instead having to work in unsafe conditions in Colombia, -Workers like Anselmo, whose employer was not paying him and threatened him when he complained, and -Elderly tenants like Lionel, who was fighting eviction from his home of over 20 years as he battled cancer. In these uncertain times, immigrant communities will increasingly rely on Catholic Migration Services. Please help us meet this need by giving generously this holiday season. San Antonio Catholic Charities Want Local Taxpayers Funding - Antonio Fernandez, CEO & Pres. of Catholic Charities in San Antonio says he believes the city should provide funding for the Migrant Center if federal funding runs out. Hypocritically, Fernandez explains that the role of Catholic Charities and the Migrant Center is to help illegal aliens move on to other cities. He warns that if funding ends then the illegal aliens will stay in San Antonio. However, Catholic Charities is serving as a human trafficker for the Biden Administration and travel agent for illegal aliens. They are not a charity but profiting from federal taxpayer dollars to facilitate illegal immigration. They now want local taxpayer money to replace the federal funds to continue their illegal enterprise.Rather than funding this non-charity agency and assisting illegal immigration, San Antonio citizens and taxpayers must oppose funding the Migrant Center. They must also demand that illegal aliens be sent to other cities and not settled in San Antonio. Ultimately, SA citizens and taxpayers must demand the federal government secure the border and stop all illegal immigration. In fact the federal government must stop all immigration until the millions of illegal aliens currently in America are identified and removed. Say NO to funding the San Antonio Migrant Center. https://lnkd.in/g3vvdJmi

A basic moral test is how our most vulnerable brothers and sisters are faring. In a society marred by deepening divisions between rich and poor, Catholic tradition recalls the powerful and sobering story of the Last Judgment (Mt 25:31-46) and instructs us to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first. In Toronto, it has been revealed by current news stories that a significant number of refugees and migrants have been received, and the gap has been filled by churches and religious groups through the provision of shelter and support in church basements. This generous response came promptly, even when governmental financial support was lagging. Mosques, synagogues, and other places of worship have similarly opened their doors, continuing a long-standing tradition of religious groups in aiding those in need. From a fundraising perspective, it is observed that individuals with religious faith are often more generous, donating to a variety of causes, both religious and secular. This generosity reflects the deep-seated altruism inherent in their beliefs, significantly supporting humanitarian efforts regardless of the organization's faith basis. In North America, it is noted that a substantial portion of public donations to humanitarian work originates from individuals with a religious affiliation, underscoring the profound impact of religious faith on charitable giving. The discussion also touches upon the nature of human flaws, suggesting that the scandals often associated with religion may stem more from inherent human traits like greed and the quest for power, rather than the religious institutions themselves. #Generosity #RefugeeSupport #MigrantAssistance #ReligiousFaith #CharitableGiving #HumanitarianWork #TorontoCommunity #SocialResponsibility #InterfaithCooperation #ChurchesInAction

There are just a few days left before 2024 ends. The year 2025 is filled with uncertainty for the immigrant community. That is why we need your financial support today so we are prepared to fight for local immigrants, no matter what challenges they face. Based on the ever-changing whims of the new administration, many of our clients risk immediate deportation, and - once again - children could be separated from their families. Your gift will support our clients’ greatest and – now, wildly unpredictable – needs. We will continue to be there to defend the rights of refugees and asylum seekers and advocate for their rightful inclusion in America - just like we did during the first Trump administration. We need your support today to meet the chaos that lies ahead. Help us stand up for immigrants by donating before 2024 ends: https://lnkd.in/eKgUTNab

In the church today, one of the most misunderstood concepts is missions. Many people think the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) is a special assignment for a chosen few—those called to foreign lands. The truth is that the Great Commission is for all of us. It’s not an option. It’s not a secondary issue to be considered “if we have time.” The very reason the church exists is to equip an army of believers who will carry the gospel to every corner of the earth. While some of us are called to be businesspeople, doctors, teachers, or homemakers, every one of us is called to participate in the Great Commission by either going or sending others. You can’t have missionaries—those who are sent—without others behind them and supporting them as Senders. This "Sender-Sent One" principle is laid out beautifully in Romans 10:14-15, where Paul asks, “How can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?” If you know you are not called to full-time missions service, then we encourage you to become a Sender. Senders provide needed prayer support, financial resources, and encouragement for missionaries to succeed. Today, we have over 2,600 laborers serving in 120 nations. While much of our field force is comprised of national workers from many different nations, we have nearly 200 American-supported missionaries who rely on Senders just like you for monthly support. We want to help you maximize your charitable giving and at the same time, make a lasting impact in the lives of others. Search our missionary directory or maximize your global impact by undergirding our World Headquarters.

Urgent - this needs to be exposed!! America is facing an existential threat - and one of the biggest groups that's working to destroy our nation is Catholic Charities. Catholic Charities is now making videos saying ‘Phase Two’ has just begun. REPOST for exposure ASAP!! The charities say they want to now help migrants “begin working on our applications to sponsor friends and family”. So let me break this down for you: Phase one: flood and overwhelm the system with millions of illegal immigrants. Phase two: allowing permanent resident aliens called Lappers or people with green cards and United States citizens to sponsor illegal immigrants from foreign nations into America. The end (of America as we know it). #thinblueline #lawenforcement
