✈️ October was a busy month for the Cauris team (Azer Songnaba, CFA, Alexandre Liege, Alexander Raia) as the team attended key industry events focused on investing in Africa, financing SMEs, and impact investing. ✨ We connected with partners and colleagues at AFSIC - Investing in Africa and the AVCA - The African Private Capital Association Summit in London before continuing our journey to Amsterdam for the Dutch Good Growth Fund’s knowledge-sharing event on SME finance and the GIIN Impact Forum. We found the gatherings to be invaluable platforms for exchanging ideas, exploring opportunities, and reinforcing our shared commitment to sustainable development. 🌍 As Africa-focused impact investors, we strive to balance realism with optimism. The challenges ahead are significant, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs) will require sustained support and increased investment. Yet, addressing the world’s most pressing issues is essential. Participating in meetings, panels, and events last month, we were inspired by the energy and enthusiasm we encountered.
