As we gear up to celebrate one of the most cherished festivals, Diwali, it's disheartening to see the mindset of certain companies when it comes to granting leaves. Just got to hear from one of my friends, that her company is denying leave on Friday (main day) and instead offer it on Choti Diwali (Thursday). The reasoning? To prevent employees from enjoying an extended weekend, ensuring they're reachable, and subtly suggesting that long weekends equate to unproductivity. It feels like they are prioritizing control over well-being, assuming that not being available on a Friday means shirking responsibilities. Many employees were looking forward to the long weekend, with Diwali falling on a Friday this year. But instead of embracing the festive spirit, some companies have chosen to deny leave on the main day (Friday). This shows the level of Narrow-mindedness companies in India have, I am literally shocked to hear the reason, that we won’t give leave on Friday coz it’ll be a long weekend, and you’ll won’t be available on call, like seriouslyyy??? I hope we can evolve to a point where companies respect the significance of festivals without feeling the need to micromanage leaves. After all, a little trust can go a long way! #CorporateCulture #WorkLifeBalance #Diwali #TrustYourEmployees #EvolveWithTime #PatheticCulture

Diwali is more than just a festival; it’s about family, tradition, and a chance to reconnect with our roots. But how many of us get the time we need to truly enjoy it? We’re often made to feel like asking for leave is selfish, like it’s a favor the company is doing for us. But here’s the truth: we deserve this time off — not as a privilege, but as a basic right. For Our Well-being: We work tirelessly throughout the year, putting in long hours, sacrificing weekends, often pushing ourselves beyond limits. Without real breaks, we burn out. Diwali should be a time to pause, breathe, and recharge. It’s not just about celebrating for a day — it’s about taking a few days to reset and start fresh. Family & Traditions Matter: Diwali is when families come together. It’s about lighting diyas at home, preparing sweets with loved ones, and sharing the joy of the festival with those who matter most. But if we’re stuck working, how can we experience any of that? We miss out on those moments that remind us why we work so hard in the first place. We’re Human, Not Machines: Companies talk about valuing their employees, but that has to go beyond words. Respecting our need for time off during festivals shows that they truly care about us as people, not just workers. A company that values its employees understands the importance of balance, of giving us the space to enjoy life beyond work. Let’s be clear: this isn’t a gift, this is our right. We deserve these 3 days off during Diwali to rest, celebrate, and be with the people we love. It’s not too much to ask, and it’s something every company should respect. ❤️ Stand with us! Share this post if you believe we deserve our Diwali holidays! Let’s make our voices heard, and remind companies that we deserve better. #LeavesForDiwali #FamilyFirst #WeDeserveRest #CelebrateDiwali #EmployeeRights #BalanceIsKey #happydiwali

*****A TEAMWORK STORY***** As I sit here, my mind takes me back to a time where I was a part of a diverse team, working together towards a common goal. It was the festive season of Diwali, the festival of lights, and our team was abuzz with excitement and enthusiasm. We all came from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, but that didn't stop us from celebrating this joyous occasion together. As the office was adorned with colorful decorations and the aroma of traditional sweets filled the air, we gathered around to light the diyas (lamps) and exchange warm wishes. It was a sight to behold, seeing everyone come together in harmony, forgetting all our differences and celebrating the festival of lights with such fervor. But what struck me the most was how this festive spirit translated into our work. As we embarked on a new project, the team dynamic was unlike anything I had experienced before. The sense of togetherness and camaraderie was infectious, and it reflected in our work. We brainstormed ideas, collaborated, and supported each other every step of the way. Just like how Diwali signifies the triumph of good over evil, our team's unity and teamwork led us to achieve great success. We were able to tackle challenges and overcome obstacles. Have a great Diwali and forthcoming festivities till New Year 2025. #teamwork #dreamwork #teambuilding #skilltraining #teamstory #storytelling

Festivals like Diwali are more than just celebrations; they are our escape from the mundane routines of life. A time for joy, sharing, giving, receiving, and soaking up the fun chaos that surrounds us. But with all the excitement comes a touch of stress—from endless to-do lists to navigating packed markets and managing time with family and friends. So how do we truly embrace the joyful mayhem without losing our peace of mind? Here are five ✋🏻simple tips to stay composed and make the most of Diwali’s festive frenzy! 1. 💓PRIORITIZE WHAT MATTERS Diwali is about creating memories, not checking every box. Focus on what brings you joy, like decorating with family or quietly lighting diyas. Prioritizing lets you soak in meaningful moments without trying to do it all. 2. ❤️EMBRACE THE CHAOS WITH A SMILE Busy markets, laughter, and constant activity create Diwali’s charm. Accepting the bustle as part of the fun helps turn stress into joy. 3. 💜PLAN BUT STAY FLEXIBLE Planning keeps stress at bay, but stay open to spontaneity. A bit of flexibility allows you to enjoy each Diwali surprise without frustration. 4. 💛TAKE SMALL BREAKS Amid the festivities, take brief “me” moments—enjoy tea, meditate, or listen to music. Small breaks help you recharge for the next activity. 5. 💚SHARE THE WORK Diwali is about sharing. Delegate tasks to lighten your load and create a team spirit. Working together adds joy to each task. This Diwali, embrace the laughter, the mess, the unplanned moments, and even the little hiccups along the way. 🌏 Embracing Cultural Inclusivity During Diwali 🌏 As Diwali, one of India’s most cherished festivals, approaches, it’s a time for joy, family gatherings, and meaningful traditions. For us, Diwali holds the same significance as other major holidays around the world, a celebration that brings warmth, reflection, and togetherness. However, a subtle but impactful difference often arises during this festive period. Many organizations across the globe take extended breaks during holidays like Christmas, allowing employees time to rest, celebrate, and connect with family. In India, though, our teams frequently continue to provide full support to international clients, sometimes even on the day of Diwali, ensuring that operations run seamlessly. This is not to question the commitment of Indian teams—they’re dedicated, adaptable, and deeply invested in their work. Rather, this is a gentle call to our global partners to recognize Diwali with the same respect and understanding that other significant holidays receive. Extending a brief pause or simply acknowledging the importance of Diwali as a day for family and festivity would show a great respect for cultural diversity. In a world where we work closely across borders, a small step toward cultural inclusivity can foster a sense of belonging and appreciation. This Diwali, let’s light up not only our homes but also our workplaces with the spirit of mutual respect and inclusivity. Wishing everyone a joyful and prosperous Diwali! 🌟 #Diwali #CulturalRespect #Inclusivity #GlobalTeams #DiversityAndInclusion

As we celebrated Diwali, it's a good time to remember the value of festive breaks. These moments aren’t just about time off, but they are crucial for re-energising and strengthening our teams. In today’s fast-paced work environment, we often overlook how a small pause can make a big impact. When teams take a step back, they return with fresh energy, creativity, and a stronger sense of connection. It’s a chance to bond with family, celebrate traditions, and come back with renewed enthusiasm. As managers, supporting these breaks shows our teams that we value their well-being. It’s not just about the work, it’s about the people who make it happen. A well-rested team is often a more productive and engaged one. This Diwali, let's encourage our teams to fully enjoy the festivities. A short break can lead to long-lasting benefits for everyone, creating a happier and more balanced workplace. #Diwali #ManagerialMantras #Breaks

✨ There’s a buzz of festivity everywhere! Whether it’s the beautifully lit kandils or the Diwali lanterns adorning the streets, the vibrant rangolis and diyas at our clients’ offices, or people in their traditional best snapping selfies, laughing, and greeting each other, it’s clear: 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀. 🎉 As a Talent Development Consultant, I’ve been lucky to partake in numerous Diwali celebrations this week. And this got me thinking—how can we, as leaders, keep this spirit alive long after the rangolis are washed away and the diyas are snuffed out, returning to our “regular” corporate attire? 🏢😅 Here are some ideas to keep the festive spark alive: 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀: What achievements can we celebrate together? Whether it’s a project wrap-up or a small victory, let’s keep the confetti flying! 🎊 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳: Let’s promote a culture where taking that long-awaited vacation is not just encouraged but celebrated! After all, work can wait—family and relaxation cannot. 🏖️ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀: What team traditions can we establish to foster belonging? From celebrating work anniversaries to welcoming new members with a special “team initiation” (no, it doesn’t have to involve a pie in the face!), let’s build a sense of community. 🤗 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: As a leader what are ways I can shine brighter and not let my light dim? How can we nurture our capabilities and tackle our fears together as a team. 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗹𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺! 🌟 Let’s not let the glow of Diwali fade too quickly. After all, we’re all in this together, navigating the hustle with a little light and laughter. Wishing the entire LinkedIn community a joyous and prosperous Diwali! May your days be filled with light, laughter, and love. ✨ #Diwali #Leadership #TeamSpirit #WorkLifeBalance
