Growing up as the eldest child can come with immense responsibilities and expectations, often overshadowing your own needs and well-being. The pressure to set an example and care for younger siblings can leave little room for self-care and personal fulfillment. 💭 When you're constantly asked to focus on meeting the needs of others and fulfilling familial obligations, prioritizing your own self-care can feel like an afterthought. The weight of familial expectations may make it challenging to recognize and honor your own needs. By acknowledging the importance of self-care and actively carving out time for it, you reclaim your right to prioritize your well-being. 💪 #EldestChild #eldestchildsyndrome #eldestdaughter #eldestdaughtersyndrome

You asked, I have answered! Someone asked me to talk about self-confidence as a mother, and here are some ways to build your confidence as a mother: 🌹Embrace your unique journey. Don’t compare yourself with other mothers. 🌹Believe that you are the best mother to your child. Even if you’re a first-time mother, focus on the little things you’re doing right instead of what you think you’ve missed. 🌹Take good care of yourself. Motherhood brings big changes; from sleepless nights and breastfeeding to body shifts, that can be exhausting and impact your confidence. 🌹Surround yourself with positive people who uplift and support you during tough times, instead of judging you. Remember, motherhood is a journey, and you’re doing an amazing job! School Holidays can be tricky as our kids are spending more time with siblings. Check out my top tips
When there is sibling conflict, we parents need to give our attention to the child that is injured. This reassures them, allows them to feel safe, and gives everyone a chance to calm down. The sibling who caused the fight needs support in managing their feelings. Encourage them to use safe strategies like running outside, squeezing a pillow, or bouncing a ball when they're annoyed are great outlets. We have to help them to manage the “annoyed” feeling. Reward them when they use this strategy. #SiblingConflict #ParentingTips #ChildDevelopment
