Hey Network 👋🏾 Every once in a while, I like to push myself out of my comfort zone for a great cause, and this time, it’s personal. Cancer has affected the lives of so many friends and family around me, and now it’s time to step up. In January, I’ll be competing in a Hyrox event, representing the amazing Macmillan charity. I’m teaming up with my partner-in-crime Carla Brault and together we’re going all out in the mixed pairs event to support those battling cancer. 🏅 For those who haven’t heard of Hyrox, here’s what we’ll be up against: 🏃🏾1km Run + 1000m Ski Erg 🏃🏾 1km Run + Sled Push (152kg) 🏃🏾1km Run + Sled Pull (103kg) 🏃🏾1km Run + 80m Burpee Broad Jumps 🏃🏾1km Run + 1000m Row 🏃🏾 1km Run + Farmers Carry (24kg) 🏃🏾1km Run + Sandbag Lunges (20kg) 🏃🏾1km Run + 6kg Wall Balls (75 reps) The running is a joint effort, whilst the exercises can be shared depending on individual strengths. Our goal? To finish the event in under 1 hour and 10 minutes, which would qualify us for the elite event! We’re training hard and aiming high, but confident we can achieve a qualifying time. Our few minutes give someone else an entire future Woco's mission is to work for a future worth living. We are proud to have found employees who also embody this in their private lives. An employee at our headquarters became a lifesaver by donating stem cells to a cancer patient. His selfless commitment changed a life and gave hope.   Inspired by his commitment, we launched a registration campaign at our site in Bad Soden-Salmünster together with DKMS Deutschland. It was great to see how many people registered to give potential patients a chance of a cure. For this campaign, we covered the costs of 50 euros for all employees who registered and even increased the amount donated to 2500 euros.🩸💪    ⛑️ Registration is important because donations like this can make a difference to all of us.
