Everyone came together to play Secret Santa, exchange thoughtful gifts, and share moments of laughter. The joy and excitement on everyone’s faces while unwrapping their surprises was heartwarming—a true celebration of connection and kindness.⁣ ⁣ I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I’ve always valued what it means to those around me. Seeing my colleagues light up at the thought of family time, rest, or reconnection reminds me of how important these traditions are to them.⁣ ⁣ For me, it’s not about the holiday itself—it’s about being there for the people I work with. Over the years, I’ve made it a point to support my colleagues during this time, whether it’s by taking on responsibilities, offering a listening ear, or simply being present when they needed it most.⁣ ⁣ And in return, they’ve shown up for me in moments that mattered—during Ramadan, Eid, personal milestones, or when I simply needed a helping hand. It’s never been about keeping score. It’s about mutual respect, understanding, and care.⁣ ⁣ That’s the beauty of a real team. It’s not transactional. It’s not about expecting something in return. Sadly, I have seen this as well.. Have fun, let hair down, connect and have good experiences with your coworkers, team mates and management, however... Don't Throw your name and career away... Dress appropriately as well no one wants to see what is kept for intimate settings at your Christmas work function. Be mindful that it is a Christmas company function and there are codes of or unwritten rules for behavior. #justsaying

Morning ☕️ As we head towards the end of the year and start to think about festive celebrations it’s important we consider how inclusive we’re being. ✅Let’s be mindful of our colleagues who don’t drink alcohol, let’s not centre the period around going for drinks/have parties where the only soft drink option is water. ✅Consider your employees who don’t celebrate Christmas. Does the party theme have to be about Father Christmas? ✅Don’t assume everyone loves Christmas, or the festive holidays, for some it’s a really challenging time. ✅Consider a budget, whilst secret Santa is fun for some, for others it reinforces financial stress. ✅Don’t exclude anyone, ensure invites go out to everyone even if you think they may not attend. ✅If you’re on the planning committee for a party/celebration, look at the group to see how diverse it is. If everyone looks like you, maybe consider bringing other voices on board. ✨Inclusion is in everything we do, let’s not forget that in the run up to the holidays. #DiversityEquityAndInclusion #Festivities #ChristmasSeason
