It’s a wrap - The 27th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) under the theme "Technology Unbound". The Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024 showcased the vibrant tech ecosystem of Karnataka and highlighted the potential of technology to drive innovation and economic growth. Many congratulations to Govt of Karnataka, IT BT Department, Karnataka for a very Successful Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024. Big thanks to Hon'ble Minister Sri Priyank M Kharge, Dr. Ekroop Caur, Ms Ruchi Bindal and Mr. Darshan. I make many trips to Bangalore - but this one was extra special. We hosted our second Deep Science Forum and the response was overwhelming ( 5X more folks wanted to come than what we planned for!). But more than that was the conversations and learnings that happened during the day. Everyone came with honest, actionable and sometimes brutal insights. But one thing was clear there was an India playbook for deep science and the number of people on that journey is accelerating. From journeys to Phase 1 trials, to building manufacturing chops, strategies on building IP moats, business models for rapid scale and of course addressing the capital stack were discussed at length. My takeaways - India Deep science is building the best in class for the world with an India edge - capital efficiency! - Build IP moats but link them to business goals. Put this on a loop through your journey - Leverage the existing skills and upgrade them - there are people with lifesciences and semicon experience in country who complement science skills - There are non-financial milestones that create value in a science venture and there is an expanding appreciation amongst the capital stack to back this Thank you everyone for traveling the miles and openly sharing with everyone in the room.
