*Xpeng AeroHT, an affiliate of Xpeng, plans to deliver its flying car to customers by 2026, according to co-president Brian Gu. The flying car, introduced last year as part of the Land Aircraft Carrier concept, features a two-seater electric drone that detaches from a truck. Available for pre-order this year, the vehicle is intended for use in scenic outskirts with designated flying zones. Currently undergoing certification with the Chinese aviation regulator, the delivery timeline has been pushed from late 2025 to 2026. Chinese electric vehicle maker XPENG’s modular flying car, the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” successfully completed its first public flight at the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition. The vehicle performed low-altitude linear acceleration, spiral ascent, uniform-speed descent, and precise landing, all on autopilot.
