The prophet Ezekiel mentions Job along with Daniel and Noah as examples of godly men, suggesting that Job was a historical person rather than a mere literary figure. Like the Hebrew patriarchs, Job lived more than one hundred years (Job 42:16). The mention of raiding Sabeans and Chaldean tribes suggests that Job lived during the second millennium, perhaps during the time of Abraham or Moses (Job 1:15, 17). Work is God’s primary means of provision, which is why, in 1 Thessalonians 4:11, God instructed us to work with our own hands. To those seeking #employment, may the right opportunities find you. To those already #employed, may you be rewarded in accordance with your efforts, and may your earnings be abundant, enabling you to bless others in turn. #Career #Work #Employment #God

**Unexpected Reunions at Dharamshala Court** Life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. Today, at the Dharamshala court, I experienced one of those unforgettable moments. While attending a legal proceeding, I unexpectedly ran into an old friend who I hadn’t seen in years. It’s amazing how chance encounters like these can reignite connections and remind us of the importance of relationships, both personal and professional. This reunion was a powerful reminder of how interconnected our lives are, and how even in the most unexpected places, we can find familiar faces and shared histories. We took the opportunity to catch up, share stories, and reflect on our journeys since we last met. Moments like these underscore the value of maintaining our networks and cherishing every opportunity to reconnect. It’s these relationships that often provide support, guidance, and inspiration throughout our careers and lives. #Networking #Reunion #UnexpectedMeetings #Dharamshala #Grateful #ProfessionalConnections

It can be really difficult navigating the job market as a Muslim but also as a Muslim woman wearing hijab. Beyond the challenges of finding a job where your skills and experience are valued, there’s the added layer of navigating perceptions. Taking prayer breaks and prioritizing salah can feel isolating when it seems like others are silently judging you or not understanding your faith commitments. This sometimes causes us to slip up, leading to inconsistent salah and, at times, a wavering in our iman. Balancing work, goals, and faith is not always easy, but it’s crucial to keep your deen and salah as the top priority, no matter what. This is just a reminder to myself and others to hold firm to what matters most. For anyone who has tips or experiences on how to manage this balance, I would really appreciate you sharing them whether privately or in the comments so others can benefit too.

To Learn from JobIn the book of Job, we learn that Satan was given permission to test Jobs faith in God .How was that possible? It is interesting to note that God boasted of Jobs faithfulness to him.And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?-- Job 1:8KJV Holy Bible https://lnkd.in/gXWmvs9B

The Most Important Title... is NOT the array of titles humans ooh and aah about. And I feel incredibly inwardly perturbed when people utter they have met "important" people. I think, "Important to whom and on what basis?" Because to me, the garbage collectors are as equally important as a Logistics Manager. One is not more important than the other. I don't care what your last name is either (some worship others because their last name is connected to wealth)..that doesn't make one good person more elevated than another good person. Sorry, but you can be called the King of...or Queen of.. CEO of... Manager of... whatever and wherever, and I shall not mentally adulate you. If you are a good person, I shall admire you, certainly..the mind and soul. And laud your good deeds. What I have grown fed up with is this incessant adulation of humans by other humans. God bequeathed gifts to us all. For one, it might be the gift of carpentry and for another, the gift of typing. Excel at the gifts you have been given and by all means rejoice in them, but never surrender to egotistical fumes of a title. One's job position should never translate into a "bow-down-and-adore-me-at-all-costs" scenario. One day, I shall be Dr. Ava Porter, and I'll be proud of accomplishing it but shall never feel that'll transform me to a godesslike stature. Remember, folks - tis God who should be worshipped..never humans. #God #job #faith #title #psychology #society

I find inspiration in the words of Proverbs 16:3 'Commit your works to the Lord, then it will be succeed (TLB).' I trust that God will guide my efforts as I connect talented individuals with the right opportunities. Even in the face of rejection and setbacks, I hold onto the hope that God is working in the lives of both candidates and companies. I believe that every interaction, no matter the outcome, presents an opportunity for growth and connection. #faithinworkplace, #christianvalues, #recruitment, #careerdevelopment

Job 22:3-11 1599 Geneva Bible 3 Is it anything unto the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it profitable to him, that thou makest thy ways upright? 4 Is it for fear [a]of thee that he will accuse thee? or go with thee into judgment? 5 Is not thy wickedness great, and thine iniquities innumerable? 6 For thou hast taken the [b]pledge from thy brother for nought, and spoiled the clothes of the naked. 7 To such as were weary, thou hast not given water to drink, and hast withdrawn bread from the hungry. 8 But the mighty man [c]had the earth, and he that was in authority, dwelt in it. 9 Thou hast cast out widows empty, and the arms of the [d]fatherless were broken. 10 Therefore snares are round about thee, and fear shall suddenly trouble thee. 11 Or darkness that thou shouldest not see, and [e]abundance of waters shall cover thee.
