We’re on the hunt for a project manager. But not just any project manager – someone with proven experience leading 8-figure apartment and senior living projects. So why BEX? To start, no travel. No “18 months in California and then 6 months home and then off to Michigan for another 12 months.” We accept work within about a ~200-mile (on the high end) radius of the St. Louis area – meaning everyone on the team goes home to their families and sleeps in their own bed every night. But it’s more than that. We’re big enough to offer meaningful benefits (fully paid health insurance, healthy bonuses, paid time off) and deliver on exciting projects, but small enough that you’ll have the direct line of the owner. An owner that will actually listen when you disagree. We’re small enough that YOUR individual contribution has the potential to really transform the company. From process improvement to bringing work in. You won’t be lost in a sea of hundreds of other people – it’s a team of a couple dozen who know each other’s kid’s names and favorite snacks. The types of relationships that make it worth coming in to work each morning. Top to bottom, we’re driven by our core values: SHIELD. Service. Hard work. Integrity. Experience. Listen. Deliver. I hear it time and again: “We succeed or fail as a team.” Interested in joining? DM’ing me is a great place to start. We can meet up and chat more – and worst case, we both meet another great connection in the STL construction community. #constructionjobs #constructionprojectmanagement

As the real estate development industry continues to evolve, the demand for professionals with a diverse skill set has never been higher. It’s no longer enough to simply excel in one area—whether it's project management, finance, or construction. Today's successful real estate professionals are expected to have a broader understanding that spans multiple disciplines. From sustainability and smart technologies to financial acumen and community impact, the best candidates are those who can bring a range of expertise to the table. Having placed professionals across Canada in development and construction roles, I’ve seen firsthand how this well-rounded approach benefits not only the projects but also the teams driving them forward. Whether you're hiring or looking for your next opportunity, I'd love to hear your thoughts: What skills do you think are most critical for the future of real estate development? #Construction #Development

So you’re a Project Manager who’d like to be a Development Manager. I’d say 60/70% of the PM’s I speak to have aspirations of one day becoming a Development Manager. These roles are hugely competitive with DM’s looking for a promotion or sideways move, and half the PM market, architects and engineers also looking to transition across. So here are some things to consider and know to give yourself the best chance of landing that Development Manager role. ✅ Manage projects in the sector you want to be a Development Manager. If they develop residential towers and you’ve built warehouses they’re likely to go in the direction of PM’s or DM’s with that exposure. Even if you’re the cream of the crop, it’s risk mitigation on the part of the hiring manager. ✅ Consider working as a Project Manager for a Developer first so they can see your skills first hand. ✅ Don’t expect a large pay rise when your making the switch. Sometimes you need a sideways step to then move forward. ✅ Make sure you fully understand the role of a Development Manager and what that entails. All to often I speak to people who aren’t really sure what they’ll do, but just think they’ll get to make more decisions on project direction. ✅ lastly, make sure you can strongly articulate why you want to make the move. “I want to be the final decision maker on a project” is fair, but probably isn’t the direction you want to go in. #projectmanager #developmentmanager #propertydevelopment #realestate #construction #careermove #recruitment
