Forest fires almost always arise from human activity & can be devastating. Here's some safety tips to follow: 🔥 Do not light fires outdoors around forests or open land. 🔥 Call Fire and Rescue Services via 112 to report forest fires and their location. 🔥 Do not attempt to intervene or fight forest fires under any circumstances. 🔥 Move to a safe fuel-free location such as a car park, upwind of the fire. 🔥 Keep access points and forest entrances clear for emergency services. 🔥 Always cooperate with all Emergency Service instructions. #ForestsForClimate

The Pioneer Fire in Washington has triggered a Level 3 wildfire evacuation for the remote PCT trail Stehekin. An incredibly dangerous situation is developing. Some tips when hiking in high-risk forest fire areas. 1. Stay Informed About Current Fire Conditions: Before and during your hike, check for updates on fire conditions in the area. Wildfires can spread rapidly, so staying informed is crucial. 2. Plan an Evacuation Route: Identify potential escape routes and familiarize yourself with them. Know where the nearest roads or safe zones are in case you need to evacuate quickly. 3.
