𝗶𝟮 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝘀, 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 🌞 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: What if we built a 2.8 GW capacity solar farm, like the Golmud Solar Park, in Malaysia? 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: Considering 10'000 kWh being the average consumption of a Malaysian home, we could power 560,000 homes annually; that's all of Perlis, Terengganu, and Kelantan, while still having surplus energy! Now, imagine if Malaysia harnessed our abundant sunshine to build a similar solar park. We could: • Power entire regions with renewable energy. • Lower electricity bills for families and businesses. • Cut down on air pollution, making our cities cleaner and healthier. • Create thousands of jobs in solar energy installation and maintenance. At i2 Energy, we believe that with the right investment in solar infrastructure, Malaysia could lead the way in Southeast Asia’s renewable energy future. 🌍 Let’s turn our sunshine into power and take a bold step towards a cleaner, greener Malaysia! 🌿⚡ #SolarPowerMalaysia #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #i2Energy #GreenMalaysia #RenewableFuture

On October 11, SEMI Southeast Asia, in collaboration with SEMI Energy Collaborative (EC) and the Asia Clean Energy Coalition (ACEC), hosted a roundtable in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event brought together PETRA (Kementerian Peralihan Tenaga dan Transformasi Air), Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), Jabatan Single Buyer, and key stakeholders from the semiconductor ecosystem to explore the path forward for corporate clean energy procurement. With Malaysia’s renewable energy potential, collaboration is essential for accelerating clean energy adoption. The discussions centered around: - Diversifying Procurement Options: Expanding the range of renewable energy procurement mechanisms for greater flexibility. - Addressing Cost Concerns: Ensuring the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) is cost-effective and transparent. - Enhancing Long-Term Pricing Clarity: Providing clearer projections to support corporations in making long-term clean energy procurement decisions. This roundtable is part of a series across Asia, following Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore, with the collective goal of driving a sustainable energy future for the semiconductor industry. SEMI Southeast Asia extends our thanks to PETRA, our partners, and energy collaborative members for the excellent discussion. Stay tuned for the release of the SEMI Energy Collaborative Malaysia position paper, and join us in our efforts to drive decarbonization across the region. #SEMI #SEMISEA #ACEC #Malaysia #Semiconductor #Sustainability #EnergySector

🌞 Harnessing Indonesia’s Solar Potential: A Bright Future Ahead! Indonesia is blessed with an abundance of solar energy, receiving an impressive 4-6 kWh/m² of solar radiation daily. This makes our nation a prime location for solar energy deployment. ☀️ Recent steps by the government to address regulatory barriers are paving the way for a renewable energy revolution. Policies like renewable energy auctions and feed-in tariffs are set to boost solar energy deployment, making clean energy more accessible than ever before. Off-grid solar solutions are particularly promising, offering a sustainable way to electrify remote and rural areas. Imagine the transformative impact of providing electricity access to up to 80% of our rural population! 🌍 Moreover, Indonesia is on the path to becoming a regional leader in solar panel manufacturing. This not only reduces the cost of solar deployment but also creates local job opportunities and stimulates economic growth. The future is bright for Indonesia’s solar energy industry. Let's embrace this potential and work together towards a greener, more sustainable future. 🌱 #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #Indonesia #GreenFuture
