"The risks of online disinformation and hate speech are immense. People have always lied, but we’ve traditionally had safeguards in place to identify and challenge false information in order to maintain a healthy public discourse..." I share with you the document I presented at the United Nations during the first Universal Periodic Review (UPR)Venezuela 2011. In my document, I described the first 12 years of Hugo Chávez's government: political persecution, physical and psychological human rights violations, and torture.

Democracy 101 Democracy should defend itself when things go south
👏👏👏A lesson in common sense by Senator Marco Rubio 👏👏👏 The idea that people can exploit the benefits and opportunities they get from a democracy in order to destroy it is UNACCEPTABLE!

So the #MeToo campaign was all important and critical for everyone who wanted to see women no longer being abused by people who were above them in positions of relative power, like actresses being exploited by producers, and so on. Hollywood and so many other people in the U.S., and even many people around the world, including the top politicians of the day, made sure to pay attention to it and made it a cultural game changer. Not that they fixed everything in that regards. Not even close. Let's be real. That type of things surely still happens and it's disgusting and it should stop. But it is now a very different climate when it comes to how men behave vis-a-vis the women in their workplace. And predatory men are a lot easier to call-out and cancel or even prosecute than before. But when it comes to the women that Hamas took as hostages from Israel on October 7, tortured and sexually abused, and continue to do so to this very day ... and we're primarily talking here about Jewish and Israeli women, all Hollywood and the U.S. powers that be can do is ... *the sound of silence?!?* For shame, Hollywood. For shame, political America. Shame on everyone who rallied for women to be treated better, and no longer be sexually violated in horrible ways by people with power over them, but not for Jewish or Israeli women. Shame on you who show no similar empathy and that you are silent when it is Jewish or Israeli women being held captive and being abused in the most horrible ways imaginable, day in and day out, now for more than an entire year, by Hamas terrorists. And yes, we see those of you (especially of you who are public figures) who were all active in the MeToo movement and now are cruelly supportive of the Hamas terrorist organization. We see how you do not protest against Hamas' brutal and cruel attacks on women, girls, children, the elderly including Holocaust survivors and men of all ages. We know who you are. Your hypocrisy stinks to high heaven.
