Just spent two days with a room full of faculty exploring generative AI tools and discussing their implications for teaching and learning. Lots of chatting about big thorny things like the goals of higher education, the fundamental nature of grading and assessment, and what the future of learning might (or might not!) look like. As with anything, teaching about genAI forces me to dig deeper with what I know vs. what I think I know, and people come up with many interesting questions I would never have considered in my own exp,orations with these tools.

A great introductory course for teachers! AI tools can provide useful scaffolding, but they shouldn’t be treated as a source of truth. Human evaluation of AI results is required. To ensure that you're using AI tools responsibly, always fact-check the output. AI are prone to any human biases that exist within the data.
