The Halal industry in Indonesia is experiencing significant growth, contributing to the overall expansion of the country's industrial parks. With 126 areas, 60% in Java, 24.34% in Sumatra, 9.56% in Borneo, and 6.1% in Sulawesi and Eastern Indonesia, the growth continues. Among these, three are dedicated Halal Industrial Parks: 1. Halal Modern Valley in Cikande, Serang, Banten 2. Halal Industrial Park (Safe n Lock) in Sidoarjo 3. Bintan Inti Industrial Estate in Riau Supported by the Ministry of Industry, these parks offer facilities such as halal materials regulation, supply chain facilitation, innovation, inspection agencies, human resources, export development, promotions, and monitoring. The Indonesian government also provides infrastructure, incentives, and ease of investment, working with 107 foreign halal institutions from 40 countries to establish MRA. With mutual trade policies and fiscal incentives, such as import facilities for export purposes (KITE), Indonesia is an attractive destination for foreign investors looking to develop upstream industries and market their products within ASEAN. Traditionally Indonesia has been known for being a price-oriented market. I believe that there should be more effort in creating a shift here into a more value-oriented market in order to help both small and large companies to be able to survive better and maintain a high quality of excellence in their products which they sell to the local market. There is an alarming rate in which companies struggle to gain penetration in the local market due to high-sensitivity of the customers towards product prices. This needs to change and we all need to make an effort towards this end for better prosperity and sustainability.

Liugong will continue to invest Indonesia market and transfer great technology to Indonesia

Two Chinese companies and a Japanese firm have inked an agreement with the operator of the Batang integrated industrial zone (KIT) in Central Java, as the three foreign entities plan to set up their facilities in the area. The agreement, which includes an industrial land use agreement (PPTI) and ready-to-use factory building (BPSP), were signed by Japan’s PT Nesinak Manufacturing Indonesia as well as China’s PT Youmi Medika Industri and PT Luban Material Indonesia. Nesinak Manufacturing Indonesia will become the first Japanese tenant in the industrial zone. It invested Rp 20 billion (US$1.26 million) and its facility will stand on 1.8 hectares of land. The company will produce electronic and automotive products for export to Japan, the United States and European countries.
