QUT (Queensland University of Technology)'s new cohort of Executive MBA students in Canberra could not wait to kick-off 2025. Already on the very first weekend of the year, we came together for the unit ‘Strategic Management’. The highly interactive class featured concepts and examples covering topics such as responsible strategies, environmental scanning and competitive positioning. A focus has been on how to include empowered stakeholders, advanced technologies, and socio-demographic and geopolitical challenges into contemporary strategy design. Case-based learning helped to see the value of zero-based strategising, the importance of strategy latency and the need for an explicit opportunity appetite statement. A great start to execute on the New Year's resolution - Learn more.

This is exactly what CSU Global does: integrating key skills into its curriculum to prepare students for industry certifications and career success.
When I worked on the marketing team at Colorado State University Global, we'd often hear potential students mulling over the same question: Should I get a degree or industry certification? 🤷♀️ CSU Global gets it - both are valuable! 💡 So the university weaves those skills into the curriculum, preparing students to pursue industry certs that will do even more to set them up for career success. One of those students (now an alumna) is Cara LaMark. I loved being asked to share her story in the latest issue of STATE magazine, a publication of the Colorado State University System. LaMark completed the Educational Leadership-Principal Licensure program through CSU Global and was quickly promoted from a grade-level administrator to assistant principal at North Middle School in Aurora, Colorado. 🎓 I Did It! A Milestone with Purpose 🎓 Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve earned my Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Guilford Technical Community College! This accomplishment is more than just a degree—it’s a testament to my commitment to creating opportunities for those who work hard, show potential, and deserve a chance to grow. Throughout my journey, I’ve seen firsthand how talented, hardworking individuals—people like me—are sometimes overlooked. Earning this degree equips me to change that. It gives me the tools to advocate for those who might not fit the mold but have the drive to succeed, the courage to persevere, and the willingness to learn. As an HR professional, my mission is clear: to create pathways for growth, inclusion, and recognition. Whether it’s developing programs that nurture untapped talent, fostering equitable opportunities, or building environments where every voice matters, I’m here to make a difference. This achievement isn’t just mine—it’s for anyone who’s been told “no” but kept striving for “yes.” To future employers, colleagues, and collaborators: Let’s work together to build teams that reflect resilience, potential, and possibility. Let’s champion the overlooked and help them shine. Here’s to breaking barriers, rewriting narratives, and making workplaces truly thrive! 🚀 #Graduation #HumanResources #EquityInTheWorkplace #TalentDevelopment #MakingADifference
