#DYK that approximately 70% of the Earth's surface is water and 30% is land? Or that the African continent has the most countries with 54? Or that 90% of the world's earthquakes occur within the Circum-Pacific Belt, also known as the "Ring of Fire?" Learn about land boundaries, elevation, and more geographic features around the world – like the ones shown here from Brazil – in CIA's World Factbook. The World Factbook is a public resource providing basic intelligence on 265 world entities including geography facts and statistics. https://lnkd.in/eEUwzVk #WorldFactbook #GeographyAwarenessWeek #Geography
Very interesting. Just like the human body, which is composed both physically and chemically the same as the earth. The human body is 65% water and the rest earth. Also in the composition of minerals and other elements, the human body is equal to the earth in identical proportions of iron, zinc, copper, gold, etc. Physical and chemical equality in the same proportions found on earth are found in the human body golden example. The equality between the human body and the earth is astonishing. It never ceases to amaze me
Didn’t we learn this in grade school?

3mo#DYK that the deepest point on Earth, the Mariana Trench, is 36,070 feet (10,994 meters) deep—almost 7 miles? Or that 80% of the world’s oceans are unexplored? Antarctica holds 60% of Earth’s fresh water and 70% of its total fresh water is frozen in ice. The Amazon produces 20% of the world’s oxygen. Russia shares borders with 16 countries, and spans 11 time zones. China and India together account for 36% of the world’s population. The Sahara Desert covers 9 million square kilometers, almost as big as the continental U.S. The Mid-Ocean Ridge is the longest mountain range at 40,000 miles, and Earth’s oceans cover 71% of the planet, leaving just 29% for land. With so much still unknown, the CIA’s World Factbook, changed in part by my use disclosure in 2018 in part ;p, is a great way to explore these fascinating facts!
