🇮🇳 **This Independence Day, Let’s Empower Our Future Generations!** 🌟 As we celebrate the spirit of freedom and independence in India, let’s take a moment to reflect on how we can empower our children to carry that torch into the future. Independence is not just about freedom from oppression; it's about fostering the confidence, skills, and mindset that will enable our children to thrive in an ever-changing world. Here are a few ways we can empower the next generation: 1. **Encourage Critical Thinking**: Let’s teach our children to question, analyze, and think critically about the world around them. This independence of thought will prepare them to tackle challenges head-on. 2. **Nurture Creativity**: Encourage them to express themselves creatively – whether through art, writing, or problem-solving. Creative thinkers will drive innovation and change in the future! 3. **Promote Civic Engagement**: Teach kids the importance of being active participants in their communities. Instilling a sense of responsibility and advocacy fosters a generation that is committed to making a difference. 4. **Cultivate Resilience**: Life will present obstacles, but teaching children to embrace failure as a learning opportunity will empower them to bounce back stronger than ever. 5. **Emphasize Kindness and Empathy**: In a world that often feels divided, encouraging kindness and understanding among our children will help cultivate unity and respect for diverse perspectives. Let us celebrate not just our independence, but the potential of every child to shape a brighter future. Together, we can empower them to dream big and create their own paths! 🎆 What are you doing to empower the children in your life this Independence Day? 🌟𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: 𝐀 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝-𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 🌟 In today's conversations, we often emphasize our fundamental rights. While these rights are essential, it's time to shine a spotlight on our equally important fundamental duties. Our Constitution doesn't just grant us rights; it also outlines our responsibilities. Imagine the potential of a society where every citizen actively contributes to the greater good. Duties like protecting public property, fostering harmony, and safeguarding the environment are the bedrock of a thriving, progressive nation. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 : 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲: When we respect our duties, we create a more cohesive and resilient community. 𝐔𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Our duties support and enhance our rights. For example, when we promote education, we uphold the right to education for all. 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Protecting the environment and public property secures a better future for the next generations. Let’s shift the narrative from entitlement to empowerment. By balancing our rights with our responsibilities, we can forge a path towards a more inclusive and dynamic India. It’s time to talk about what we can give back. Together, let's build a nation where our commitment to duties amplifies our rights and fosters true progress. Every child deserves a chance to dream. When we established Oswaal Books, our mission was to educate the country’s young generation. But we also recognised the harsh reality: In a developing nation like ours, not everyone could benefit equally. - 50% of India’s children don’t have access to quality education beyond primary school. - India ranks third globally in terms of children with no food security. - 222 million children in India face the dual threat of climate disasters and poverty. This is why we wanted to give back to the “society” which has been a major reason for our growth and success over the last four decades. For the past 6-7 years, we've proudly supported the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF) through our CSR efforts. KSCF works towards a world where children are safe from violence, supporting vulnerable children and families. They partner with various groups to create lasting change, building on Mr. Satyarthi's 40-year legacy of advocating for child rights. He has even received the Nobel Peace Prize for his relentless fight against the oppression of children and his dedication to ensuring every child's right to education. I firmly believe that the right to become a well-rounded individual is a fundamental right for everyone. But achieving this requires collective effort and contribution towards the greater good. After all, today’s dreamers are tomorrow’s leaders!

Sai Inspires Loving Sairam from Prasanthi Nilayam! August 15, 2024 What do our nations and the world at large need today to progress? Bhagawan lovingly and emphatically reminds us today as we observe India’s Independence Day! Let us move together, grow together, and foster the knowledge that we earned together. Let us live together in harmony. Bharat always produced excellent people in abundance - intelligent, courageous, valorous, devoted, strong, and virtuous. Yet we were conquered by foreigners. Why? Because there was no unity. For this reason, Bharat endured slavery and untold injustice at the hands of invaders. Students must cultivate unity. The reputation and future prosperity of the nation are hinged on the behaviour of students. Ensure that your conduct is proper. All the future leaders of Bharat are among today’s students. "Start early, drive slowly, reach safely." Imprint the nation’s welfare as the primary goal in your heart, starting in your student days. Students should enter society as men of action. You should win victory in selfless endeavours with self-confidence. This is what Mother India needs desperately. Today people advocate new forms of society based on various criteria. We do not need a new social order or a model society. Virtuous boys and girls alone are enough. The nation can progress only through virtuous youth. - Summer Showers, May 20, 1995. ‘Bha’ means light and effulgence. So Bharat is the country that radiates light to the rest of the world. - Sathya Sai Baba

As India’s 77th Independence Day draws near, it’s only natural to want our kids to understand the significance of this day. The stories of our history, the tales of patriotism, and the sacrifices made by countless individuals for the future of our country are crucial in shaping our children into proud and informed citizens. However, simply sitting them down and talking for hours might not impact them. Children are blessed with vivid imaginations why not harness that to help them grasp the importance of Independence Day? Here are a few engaging ways to do just that: 🧡 Reading Historic Storybooks: Introduce them to storybooks that narrate the struggles and triumphs of our freedom fighters. Stories with pictures can bring history to life. ◻Flag Hoisting: Involve them in a flag hoisting ceremony. Explain the meaning of the tricolor and what each color represents. 💙 Craft and Artwork: Encourage them to create their own flags or patriotic art pieces. This hands-on activity reinforces their learning through creativity. 💚Visit Historical Places: Visit a local historical site or museum. Seeing history in person can leave a lasting impression. 🧡 Learn the National Anthem: Teach them the national anthem and explain the meaning behind the words. This instills a sense of respect and pride. ◻Paint and Draw the Flag: Let them paint or draw the Indian flag. It’s a simple yet effective way to teach them about national symbols. 💙Freedom Fighter Dress-Up: Have them dress up as a freedom fighter and share stories about the person they’re portraying. This makes learning fun and memorable. Why is it important for children to know about Independence Day? Understanding Independence Day is vital for children because it connects them with their roots and helps them appreciate the freedoms they enjoy today. It fosters a sense of national pride, encourages them to value the sacrifices of those who came before and inspires them to contribute positively to the country's future. Independence Day is not just another holiday; it’s a day of remembrance, learning, and inspiration. By using creative methods to teach our children about this significant day, we can help them grow into informed, responsible, and proud citizens of India. 🇮🇳True Freedom Lies in Its Values 🇮🇳 When I think about what independence truly means, I believe it goes far beyond just the freedom of our nation. For me, real freedom lies in the values we uphold as a society. As we celebrate another year of India's independence, I reflect on how far we've come since 1947. Yet, I also feel deeply concerned about the safety and dignity of women in our country. The increasing incidents of sexual violence are a stark reminder that we have a long way to go. I believe the foundation for change begins with education. Schools should not only be places where children learn about math or science, but also where they are taught moral values, ethical values —respect, equality, empathy, and responsibility. Imagine a curriculum that goes beyond the basics, instilling in our youth the importance of treating every individual with dignity, regardless of gender. This Independence Day, I am committed to the idea that true freedom is not just about breaking free from colonial rule but also about freeing our minds from prejudice, violence, and inequality. Let’s empower our children with the moral values that will help build a safer, more respectful India for everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Independence is something we all cherish, and I believe it’s our responsibility to make our nation truly free in every sense. I’d love to hear your thoughts on how we can better instill moral values in our children and create a safer, more respectful India. Please share your views or experiences in the comments below—let’s start a meaningful conversation! 🇮🇳 Jai Hind! 🇮🇳 #IndependenceDay #TrueFreedom #ValuesMatter #GenderEquality
