As part of my internship, I have participated on 28-29 February at the Governing Board Bureau of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. During this meeting, the Bureau has discussed the 2023-2024 certification cycle and has prepared the recommendations for the EPA Governing Board, that will take place on 21-22 May 2024 in Luxembourg. The Enlarged Partial Agreement (EPA) on Cultural Routes follows the policy guidelines of the Council of Europe, decides the programme strategy, and awards the “Cultural Route of the Council of Europe“ certification. #culturalroutes #culturaldiplomacy #culturalheritage #europeanheritage

Throwback Thursday: Let's rewind to that memorable moment when two of our students were all set to embark on their Agricultural paid internship programs in Denmark. Pre-departure preparation is a crucial step in ensuring a smooth journey. Here's how we make it happen: 1. *Luggage Check*: We meticulously weigh our students' luggage, ensuring they don't carry any items that might cause inconvenience or trouble during immigration at the airport. 2. *Checked vs. Carry-On*: We double-check that items meant for checked baggage aren't mistakenly packed in their carry-on bags. 3. *Ticket Details*: Our students receive a thorough briefing on their tickets, boarding gates, and connecting train stations. We even account for time differences across various time zones. 4. *Foreign Exchange (Forex)*: Having some foreign currency on hand is essential. Our students carry small notes for purchasing coffee or other essentials upon arrival. 5. *Words of Wisdom*: Our Managing Director (MD) steps into the role of a caring parent, offering advice, counsel, and imparting valuable wisdom. 6. *Airport Drop-Off*: With excitement in the air, we drop them off at the airport, eagerly awaiting their messages to confirm their safe arrival. 7. *Eduserv's Peace of Mind*: Only when our students confirm they're comfortably settled at the host farm do we truly relax. 🇮🇪 In case you missed it, EdOdyssey President & Founder Peter M. McGovern was a panelist at the Employability Plenary during June’s International Internship Conference in Dublin. 🎓 Facilitated by Dr. Maureen Manning from The PIE, the theme was “Cultivating Global Professionals: Exploring Key Factors in Post-Graduation Employability.” 💬 We’d love to hear your thoughts on these three standout points that were made during the panel: 🔺 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝟭: Early exposure to travel is important. It teaches students to identify cultural differences, appreciate languages, and—through true immersion in diverse cultures—start to build the confidence and maturity necessary to navigate our interconnected world. 🔺 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝟮: First-year experiences will continue to play an important role in fostering professional and cultural competence by supporting students in their learning, academic exploration, community-building, and transition from secondary to higher education. 🔺 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝟯: In a globalized world of shared cultures and languages, there exists every reason to start a conversation. Travel, global perspectives, and cross-cultural dialogues are no longer a good idea, but critical. 🗣️ Let us know if these points resonate, and if you attended the conference. 🌍 Stay tuned for a blog post, coming soon, where we elaborate on some of the key takeaways and share more of Peter’s experience in Ireland—one of our newest custom program destinations!
