We leave compliance training to others and focus on person-centred practice that aligns service provision with the needs of participants and employers. Our programs are recognised globally and focused. Importantly, we can tailor training to your needs by drawing on our extensive resource bank. Where necessary, we'll research and develop a program in response to feedback from the field from service providers and our field staff who deliver employment via our highly specialised Customised Employment program. We're not sandstone people who admire problems for a living; we're practitioners and researchers who do the work daily. Even our research staff work with clients in the field, supporting employment outcomes. So many businesses report that they are negatively impacted by a staffing shortage despite active recruitment drives. However, according to a report by The European Commission it showed that Ireland had one of the lowest employment rates for people with disabilities in the EU (26.2% compared to 48.1 % in the EU). In Ireland, people with disabilities are more than twice as likely to be unemployed, despite the valuable skillset present within this cohort. The lack of awareness of inclusive practices within recruitment drives, together with misconceptions from employers which often presume that hiring someone will cost them too much in time and monetary expenses, results in reduced opportunities for both the disabled candidate and the employer. Disability Awareness Training, is not only for businesses who have disabled employees, it also provides opportunities for employers to learn about recruiting and onboarding of disabled employees and assists to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Pathways to Employment: Empowering Individuals with IDD through Personalized Pre-Employment Training. 💼 We are excited to introduce Pathways to Employment, a comprehensive program designed to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as they prepare to enter the workforce. Our program is built on a person-centered approach, focusing on each participant's unique strengths and needs. Through three progressive stages, we guide participants from foundational skill-building to advanced development, equipping them with the essential tools needed to confidently pursue integrated employment opportunities. 🗓️ The first session begins on September 10th.
