The Centre for Sustainable Business - University of Liverpool Management School's expert on all things social value, Clare Westcott, has been working with the Institute for Social Value to share and discuss the insights from her PhD research, which focuses on suppliers' experiences in navigating social value requirements in public procurement tenders and contracts. Well done Clare! University of Liverpool Management School | University of Liverpool Management School - Research
It has been a busy few days with the Institute for Social Value 😊. Last week I had the pleasure of attending and contributing to the discussions at the annual conference. Our panel explored how to align expectations within the public procurement space. Expertly chaired by Liam Ronan-Chlond and joined by Kate Gräfe and Sage Bannister. Yesterday was the last meeting of the year for the Institute's special interest group for education led by Jan Brown. I presented my thoughts on whether an academic and practitioner divide exists when it comes to social value. We left that conversation with many thoughts on where the group would like to direct their influence next year. There feels like a real momentum with the membership at present, and I look forward to seeing what next year brings.
