#EventReport The key takeaways of the lecture on 'Enhancing Non-Kinetic Component in Tune with Future Warfare Needs', by Brig Rajeev Ohri, VSM (Retd) is published. The takeaways are significant to reflect on #India need to keep a balance between the civil-military fusions. #India have kept the strategic culture largely separate from the civil stream. Therefore, presently it is important that both the political and military leadership align them to the new multi domain paradigm. #EventReport The key takeaways of the lecture on 'Indian Maritime Aspirations in a Theaterised Environment' by Commodore Anil Jai Singh (Submarine Veteran) is published. The takeaways are significant to reflect on the #challenges in context of #India maritime scenario and whether or not theaterisation could address them. In the Indian context, the debate on theaterisation is about reorganisation of our single service-oriented command into integrated theatre commands while simultaneously promoting jointness through integrated training, logistics and other support functions. This is a work-in-progress. India Unveils Next-Gen T-90 Tanks Amid Modernization Push India is rapidly modernizing its military as it focuses on boosting the firepower of its armed forces across the spectrum. Another development in this regard took place this week. Amid a focus on modernizing its fleet of T-90 tanks, India's state-run manufacturer of armored vehicles, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), has unveiled the next-generation T-90 tanks, the T-90 Mark III. The T-90 is the lynchpin of India's armored fleet and is the country's main battle tank. Hence, the development is important, because it would give a fillip to the tank's overall capabilities. The rolling out of the tanks was done virtually through a ceremony presided over by Lt. General Vivek Kashyap, who serves as the Director General of the Indian Army's Armored Corps, and Sanjay Dwivedi, who is the chairman and the managing director of AVNL. In the Indian Army, an Armored Regiment is commanded by an officer of the rank of Colonel or above. A regiment features about 45 to 50 tanks in total. At present, the Indian Army's Armored Corps has over 60 armored regiments. #ArmouredRegiments #IndianArmy #DefenseNews #MilitaryAlliance #ArmyUpdates #NationalSecurity #StrategicPartnerships #DefencePolicy #ModernizationPrograms #DefenceTechnology #InternationalRelations #SecurityPolicy #MilitaryDiplomacy #Geopolitics

This #IndependenceDay, I want to remember and pay tribute to the best of us: The brave and heroic soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. It pains me everytime I hear a news report of a soldier being killed at the hands of terrorists. I take it as a personal loss. Every single time. So, this I-Day, I want a couple of things from our government for our bravehearts: 1. Give our forces modern weapons and protective gears, so that they can engage our enemies effectively. 2. Provide the IA, IAF, and the IN, along with the rest of the paramilitary forces with top-of-the-line ISR platforms. 3. Make R&AW, IB, DIA, and Directorate of Army, Air Force and Naval Intelligence more robust, tech-oriented, and accountable to authority. Intelligence failures cost lives. 4. Stop unnecessary delays in defence procurements. It shouldn't take 15-20 years to close a defence deal. Our enemies won't wait for us to get well-equipped before attacking us. Just because our soldiers are ready to die for us, doesn't mean their lives are cheap. As citizens, we must do everything in our power to ensure our armed forces get what they need to protect our motherland and come back home alive and well to their families. #JaiHind #JaiHindKiSena #HappyIndependenceDay #78thIndependenceDay #IndianArmy #IndianNavy #IndianAirForce #HarGharTiranga

From SMA Michael R. Weimer's latest NCO Journal article: "Combat Doesn't Care: How Ready Are You?" A hard truth from combat: Our team landed in the wrong spot. Enemy fire everywhere. Foreign fighters with night vision closing in. No backup coming. We made it because we trained hard before that moment. But here's what keeps me up at night: Large-scale combat will hit different than our past 20 years. WWII: 400,000 U.S. casualties Iraq/Afghanistan: 7,054 casualties The next fight brings: - No 1-hour medical evacuation - No secure bases - No Amazon deliveries - No time to get ready Look at Ukraine. The battlefield exposes weakness fast. The undisciplined die first. Your Soldiers need you to: 1. Master fundamentals 2. Build real readiness 3. Train like lives depend on it 4. Prepare families before deployment 5. Stop taking the easy path Leadership truth: Discipline happens before battle or not at all. Question for leaders: Are you truly ready right now? Or do you need a warm-up target? The enemy won't give you one.
