From the music industry to high-end pool design, Ray Corral’s journey is a testament to reinvention. Once a percussionist performing alongside Madonna, Corral found his true calling in the ancient art of mosaics. Today, his Miami-based company, Mosaicist, Inc, has revived the craft by creating intricate, custom designs for the pools of affluent clients like Larry Ellison of Oracle and Arthur Blank of Home Depot. With over 175,000 Instagram followers and more than 300 projects nationwide, Corral’s designs have become a viral sensation. From his early apprenticeship with an Italian mosaic master in Mexico to securing a global team of skilled artisans, Corral’s work embodies precision and artistry. His first major commission—a pool in Palo Alto—launched a career that now includes one-of-a-kind installations inspired by his clients' homes. What is Braille? Braille is a tactile representation of alphabetic and numerical symbols using six dots to represent each letter and number, and even musical, mathematical and scientific symbols. Braille (named after its inventor in 19th century France, Louis Braille) is used by blind and partially sighted people to read the same books and periodicals as those printed in a visual font. Braille is essential in the context of education, freedom of expression and opinion, as well as social inclusion, as reflected in article 2 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
