Today is Giving Tuesday! At the Alex Sebahie Never Back Down Foundation, we are committed to turning tragedy into purpose and never backing down in our efforts to support the community. We give back through sponsorships, partnerships, and initiatives that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. • We support families in need. • We create opportunities for students and student-athletes. • We partner with local organizations to host events like blood drives. This Giving Tuesday, we’re focused on bringing joy to children who might otherwise go without this Christmas. Every effort counts, and together, we can create moments of hope and happiness for those who need it most. Where are you giving today? Are you giving at work, at home, or in your community? As it says in the Bible: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Let’s inspire each other to give generously, whether it’s our time, resources, or talents. Share your story below—let’s spread the spirit of giving and make a lasting impact together. #GivingTuesday #CommunitySupport #NeverBackDown #GivingBack Alex Sebahie Never Back Down

PE Montessori is once again taking part in the annual Slipper Day fundraiser, organised by the Reach For A Dream Foundation, to help make a difference in the lives of children fighting life-threatening illnesses. This year’s theme, “Step into My Slippers”, focuses on empathy, fun and stepping into the shoes (or rather, slippers) of youngsters fighting life-threatening illnesses. By trading our shoes for slippers, we step into their world, demonstrating support and reminding them that they are not alone in their fight. How can YOU make a difference? ✅ Buy a Slipper Day supporter sticker for just R20 from the school office. ✅ Wear your sticker and slippers on 31 May 2024 to show your support. ✅ Get your FREE Famous Coffee or hot chocolate (for kids under 12) at Wimpy on Slipper Day. ✅ Share your photos on social media using: #SlipperDay2024 and#StepIntoMySlippers, and encourage others to participate. #pemontessori #slipperday2024 #StepIntoMySlippers #reachforadream

🥀Children have a remarkable capacity to help others, and their actions play a significant role in promoting kindness and compassion within society. Through acts of generosity, empathy, and friendship, children contribute to building a more compassionate world. Whether it's sharing toys with a classmate, comforting a friend who's sad, or participating in community service projects, these actions not only demonstrate their innate sense of humanity but also inspire those around them to follow suit. By engaging in these small yet meaningful gestures, children not only help those in need but also cultivate values that will shape their character and interactions as they grow. 🥀The impact of children's actions extends beyond immediate assistance, as their acts of kindness can ripple through communities and create a positive chain reaction. When children see others helping, they're more likely to be motivated to do the same, fostering a culture of caring and empathy. Additionally, their involvement in charitable activities helps them develop a sense of responsibility, awareness of societal issues, and a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of people around them. As they grow into adults, these experiences can lead to a lifelong commitment to making a difference and contributing to the betterment of humanity. In essence, children's efforts to help others not only directly benefit those they assist but also contribute to shaping a more compassionate and interconnected world for everyone. #HumanityMatters #SpreadKindness #BeTheChange #CompassionInAction #EmpathyMatters #TogetherForGood #MakeADifference #LoveAndServe #CaringCommunities #InspireHumanity #helpinghands #helpingothers

We Teach More Than Just Martial Arts; we instill the values of kindness and community. ❤️ Giving back is essential in shaping our future leaders. During this season of giving and gratitude, let's empower our children to make a positive impact both on and off the mat! 🙌 Here are some fun ways to get your children involved in the act of giving back to the community this month: 🤲 Volunteer Time: Participate in community service projects together, such as helping at shelters or organizing clean-up days at parks. 💌 Thanksgiving or Christmas Cards: Create handmade cards to send to veterans, seniors, or community helpers expressing gratitude. 🧸 Toys for Tots: Gather gently used toys or new toys to donate to other children in need during the holiday season. 😊 Acts of Kindness: Encourage your children to perform random acts of kindness, like helping a friend or writing positive notes for classmates. #BuildingCharacter #GivingBack

● Help Support the Kids’ Chance Mission During Awareness Week 2024. ● Every Action Makes a Difference in These Kids’ Lives. When a worker gets injured on the job, it doesn’t just affect them — it affects their entire family, especially their kids. That’s why our 50 Kids’ Chance state organizations provide scholarships and support to the kids of workers who have been injured on the job. We want to ensure these kids can complete their education and go on to fulfilling and gainful careers. Since 1988, Kids’ Chance state organizations have awarded over 10,000 scholarships totaling over $36 million dollars. But we know there are more kids in need of assistance. Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is a time when every member of the Kids’ Chance community can support our mission, these families, and these kids. By coming together one week each year, we concentrate our efforts, which boosts our volume. This year, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is November 18-22, 2024. Join our national movement for one day or for the whole week. Here’s what you can do to support our mission during Awareness Week: ● Make a donation to Kids’ Chance of Connecticut www.kidschancect.org and challenge your colleges to do the same. ● Spread the word about Kids’ Chance on social media using #KidsChanceofCT and #MoreMoneyforMoreKids
