Wonderful example on how sustainable entrepreneurship can be fostered with a transdisciplinary group of engaged students, meaningful challenges from impact driven organizations and the right framework to enable transdisciplinary and transnational collaboration. In January 2023, the Entrepreneurial & Innovative Universities Accelerator Program, known as Accelerate Future HEI started its mission. Led by the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) and funded by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe program, it brings together twelve European partners from eleven countries to drive real change in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The program's primary objective is to equip HEIs with the necessary skills and capacities to foster entrepreneurship and innovation. Central to the Accelerate Future HEI initiative is a three-phase approach grounded in comprehensive gap analysis. This methodology involves an in-depth examination of each HEI's context, strategy, goals, and current status, providing a robust evidence-based foundation for identifying areas ripe for transformation. Participation in this initiative offers HEIs a unique opportunity to address their key challenges and make innovative solutions. Our team has just started the Science2Business program by INNOV8 Innovation Center! 🧬💼 This incredible initiative aims to support Ukrainian scientists in monetizing their research and transforming innovative ideas into successful businesses. We're thrilled to be part of this journey! 🤝 The program is a project of Seeds of Bravery, implemented by INNOV8 in partnership with Aalto University, EIT Health, and Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship, with financial support from the European Union through the European Innovation Council. 📚 Over the coming weeks, we'll be diving into: • Fundamentals of entrepreneurship • Design thinking • Creating viable products • Idea promotion and business communication • Idea validation • Business model structuring 🔍 Through lectures, workshops, hackathons, and mentoring sessions with experienced speakers and mentors, we'll be honing our skills and refining our project. 🎯 The program culminates in a pitch event where we'll present our idea to potential partners. Good news before logging off! The EIT HEI Initiative 4th call for proposal closed 8 days ago, and application numbers beat any expectations: ➡️130 applications received... ➡️...from 1,480 organisations... ➡️ of which, 677 higher education institutes and 475 businesses. Started in 2021, the Initiative will continue to: ✅Enable innovative governance in universities ✅Bring universities, industry, and other key stakeholders closer together ✅Enhance innovation & entrepreneurial capacity of universities and their students ✅Support the creation and development of start-ups.

I am thrilled to announce the publication of our article, "Digital boundary spanning in the evolution of entrepreneurial ecosystems: A dynamic capabilities perspective" co-authored by Aki Harima, in the Journal of Business Research [VHB: B; ABS:3; IF:11,3]. 📚 This study explores the impact of digitalization on entrepreneurial ecosystems and their boundaries.
