Yesterday the World welcomed and my IESBA colleagues celebrated Global Ethics Day. I am reposting some of their thoughts today, long with those of our Chair, because critically every day must be Ethics Day. In a rapidly changing marketplace, environment and society morphed by deeply impactful technologies and our collective calling in and around sustainability - the world needs more ethics and certainly not less. Let's pause, check ourselves and think about the rock-solid pillars, the IESBA fundamental principles, before we take action (Integrity, Objectivity, Professional Competence & Due Care, Confidentiality and Professional Behavior!!). In them and in deploying a questioning mindset and just a little human curiosity, we can always identify the right thing to do!
