Breaking silos in community development is about shifting from fragmented interventions to holistic, community centered strategies. It’s about understanding that social, economic, and health outcomes are deeply intertwined and that only by addressing these connections together may we build truly resilient communities. This article aligns with the principles outlined in the Connective Tissue Policy Framework 2024, (Pressler et al., 2024) which emphasizes the role of community-driven strategies in strengthening civic participation, fostering social connection, and addressing systemic disparities. The framework advocates for collaborative, place-based solutions that integrate diverse perspectives and empower communities to lead their own development, making it a guiding reference for policymakers, philanthropists, and community leaders seeking to create more resilient and inclusive communities. #Bundaberg #CommunityDevelopment #ResilientCommunities #HolisticStrategies #CommunityLeadership #SocialConnection #CollaborativeSolutions #PlaceBasedApproach #CivicParticipation #InclusiveGrowth #SystemicChange #EmpowerCommunities #PolicyFramework #SustainableDevelopment #CommunityEngagement #CommunityResilience

Share Your Opinion: What is the most important factor for empowering community input in major projects? Community Engagement is undertaken during major projects to collect, refine and integrate a community's insight to design public assets that best serve their needs. Should communities have a say, when projects impact them? Achieving effective consultation can be a delicate balance, requiring strategy and a range of delivery methods to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders. Carabiner collaborate with Local Governments who advocate for their community by providing jargon-free, accessible design options ready for input and engagement. We are guides (not gurus) who utilise our knowledge and experience to assist Local Councils to deliver community projects that help the people who work, live and play in them to thrive, grow and succeed. #publicarchitecture #pertharchitects #sportandrecreation #communitysport #communityhubs #communitynode #communityengagement #communityprojects #extraordinaryarchitecturetogether #localgovernment #council #majorprojects

Competing in this pageant is about so much more than a crown—it's a platform to shine a light on a critical issue: the NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) stigma surrounding affordable housing. Too often, this stigma prevents essential housing projects from being built, keeping countless individuals and families from having a safe place to call home. Affordable housing should not be restricted to certain areas; it belongs in every neighborhood, fostering diversity, stability, and opportunity for all. Breaking down barriers and building understanding is a community effort. We must challenge outdated perceptions and embrace housing as a fundamental right. When we create inclusive communities, everyone benefits. Let’s open our hearts and neighborhoods to those in need. Together, we can build a world where affordable housing is not only possible but welcome everywhere. #AffordableHousing #EndNIMBYStigma #HousingForAll #CommunityFirst #InclusiveCommunities #BreakingBarriers #DiversityMatters #NeighborhoodForAll #HomeIsAHumanRight #SpreadAwareness #mrsnorthphoenix
