**Troubleshooting Long-Running Transport Requests in SAP** When dealing with long-running SAP transport requests, here's a quick checklist to resolve issues efficiently: 1. **Run the RSTPTEST Report** (SE38) to test tp status and STMS configuration. 2. **Check tp System Logs** in STMS_IMPORT for any errors. 3. **Monitor RDD Jobs** in SM37 and ensure they’re running. If not, schedule them. 4. **Verify Update Status** in SM13, and activate it if needed. 5. **Inspect Background Work Processes** in SM50; ensure no waiting processes. 6. **Check Filesystem Space** for adequate space in directories like sapmnt and oraarch. 7. **Advanced Steps**: Clear temporary files, delete 'in process' requests in STMS, and reschedule RDDIMPDP with RDDNEWPP. 8. **Last Resort**: Restart SAP instance and reschedule jobs during non-productive hours. This checklist ensures smooth transport request execution and resolves common issues quickly. #SAP #TransportRequests #SAPSupport #SAPSystem #TransportManagement #SAPPerformance #SystemTroubleshooting #SAPTips #SAPBasis #ITSupport #SAPCommunity

SAP SPRO LOGISTICS FOR DUMMIES Maintain SSCC Generation for Each Plant / Storage Location In this activity, you can set all parameters for generating Numbers of Shipping Units/Serialized Shipping Container Codes (NSU/SSCCs), except for those on the storage location level. Example Normally, your entire organization does not create more than 1,000 billion handling units per year. Therefore, you only need one ILN from which to copy the 7-digit base number into an entry (by leaving all key fields blank: plant and storage location, for example). You have previously created a number range object with a rolling 9-digit internal interval. Now you need to assign this number range object. If you would also like to send smaller packages and manage them with NVE/SSCCs as well, you would need more than 1,000 billion NSU/SSCCs per year. In this case, you should enter another base number and a new number range object with an internal interval. Assign these to the exact plant and storage location.

What is STMS? ————————————————————— SAP Transport Management System (STMS) is a tool that helps manage transports between SAP systems. It allows users to: Define the transport domain controller: The system with the reference configuration is the transport domain controller, and changes to the reference configuration must be distributed to all systems. Configure the SAP system landscape: This includes configuring transport routes using a graphical editor. Display import queues: Users can see import queues for all SAP systems in the transport domain. Import requests: Users can import requests in an import queue, project, or specific requests. Perform transport workflow: STMS can perform transports between SAP systems without a common transport directory. #sapbasis #saplearning

Material does not exist #SAP Message no. M7006 Diagnosis For material, no material master data exists in plant, storage location. Procedure Make sure your entries are correct. If your entries are correct, then storage location data does not yet exist for the material. Storage location data is created when you maintain the Storage view for the material or use the 'Enter Storage Locations' function in the material master menu or post the first goods receipt (provided that automatic creation of storage location data is allowed for the given plant and movement type).
