Meet the girl who saved more than 150,000 potential lives and fed more than 2 million people. Meet Jayati, a girl who came from a small town Roorkee in Uttarakhand to become a Chemical Engineer. She was the hope for her family and being the eldest among siblings the most responsible as well. Coming to a big city like Noida was a big thing for her and she was living a difficult life to make her career. Then she found a guy Kiran Verma (me), who was going through a lot in his life. Who was broke at that time, went through many breakups (including 3 failed engagements) and was living a messed up life. I don’t know what she saw in me, but she decided to marry me and we both married (we may debate on happily or not 😂). Then something bad happened when I left my job to start Simply Blood. She gave all her savings to built World’s first virtual blood donation platform. She delivered our son on 11th Jan through C-Section and on 22nd she boarded a train to her home ALONE, with our 11 days young son and all the luggage. Just to let me work on my crazy dream (Nobody should die waiting for blood in India). She took loan to keep #SimplyBlood afloat, which saved more than 75,000 potential lives in 7 years (currently not working). During the lockdown, she allowed me to go out and help people in every possible manner, knowing the life risk involved. Later, during the lockdown, she mortgaged her jewellery to start Change With One Meal and till date the initiative have served more than 2 million meals. Then she allowed me to do a #Walk4Blood awareness and I did a #21000KmsWalk. Which became the longest walk ever for blood donation awareness. People gave me credit for all that, but they missed to see the power behind my every step. She changed me completely. From an carefree person to a responsible man. From a corrupt professional, to an honest social entrepreneur. From a hopeless boy, to a hope for many. She might don’t have a strong resume or promising personality. But she has built a career of an amazing changemaker and the reason behind all these achievements, more than me or my efforts. If I expect to live 65 years, then I have just 25 years to live from now. Today, this lady turned 34 and as many people might know, I don’t wish anyone on occasions. But, I wanted to request you all to bless my lady for a healthy and happy life ahead. So that in my remaining time, I can try to become a better husband and may become something to make her proud, before I leave this world. I am not Ram, but she became my true Sita and changed so many lives meaningfully. I feel blessed to be her worse half and so proud for finding her as my better half. Stay Blessed!
