Recognition is SO important, and so often not prioritized.
Robyn Green provides plenty of ways to reward employees with thoughtful, creative treats that won't break the bank! 🍭🍨
Below are a few of my favorites! All can be successfully adapted to a virtual environment.
🍭 "Candy Jar of Kudos" where team members can drop in written praises for their peers. At the end of the week, pull out a few and reward those mentioned with a small treat or fun perk—think a coffee voucher or an extra half-hour lunch break!
-I would recommend reading them all, or at least sharing them all with those who have been given kudos. Just hearing the kudos is a treat!
🍭 HR Tip: Consider "random acts of recognition" where team members nominate colleagues who’ve done something awesome. Once a week, surprise a nominee with a treat, like a gift card or a free coffee. The element of surprise makes the reward even sweeter!
- Another idea is including "treats" like leaving early or starting late!
A few parting reminders from Robyn, "Even though we’re focusing on "fun-size" rewards, it’s important to remember that small gestures can have a full-size impact on morale and productivity. Recognizing your team doesn’t have to break the bank; it’s about showing appreciation in meaningful, thoughtful ways. A little bit #recognition goes a long way!"
