With welcoming so many new (and some familiar!) faces to our Changing Minds' whānau this year, it's made us appreciate the opportunity to come together as a community at our wonderful Changing Minds whare so much more this year. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the garden, kai and kōrero 💚Hearing what's on top for you as we bring the year to a close reminds us of the strength of Lived Experience voices within so many different communities. While many of us are winding down towards the holidays, don't forget that next Friday is the last day to have your say on the Mental Health Bill. Send us a message if we can support you to create a submission, and if there's any resources we can offer you or your whānau over the holiday period.

Today, as we recognize World Mental Health Day, we reflect on the immense challenges many are facing due to recent storms and their aftermath. Our thoughts are with those who are navigating evacuations, restoration efforts, and caring for loved ones during this trying period. At Locke's, we believe that mental well-being is as crucial as physical safety. We encourage our team and our community to take a moment to prioritize self-care, check in on each other, and offer support where it’s needed most. 🤝 Whether it’s lending a helping hand, sharing resources, or simply listening, we can all play a part in fostering resilience and hope. Let’s stand together, support one another, and build a brighter future—one where mental health is a priority for everyone. #WorldMentalHealthDay #CommunitySupport #MentalHealthMatters #LockesElectrical

You may be familiar with the physical burden of the water crisis, but what about the mental and emotional toll? When a resource essential to life itself is out of reach, worry and stress can be constant. People frequently share how a lack of access leads to worry about their children, health, time, safety, and more. Then they share how clean water changed everything. Where clean water flows, all forms of health can flourish. Entire communities are energized, and the weight of worry disappears. This Mental Health Awareness month, you can support thriving communities by giving clean water. Rest assured, 100% will always fund clean water.

💛 Feeling Friday 💛 Feeling... Fed up Fed up with the weather, fed up with the rising cost of food, the wars raging across the world, the education system failing our children, the inequality to females and other minority groups - the list is overwhelmingly endless. What can we do? If you are feeling like this there are some tools to hand. I appreciate that sometimes we can feel so low and confused or rushing to meet everyones needs (of safety, financial, shelter, emotional and physical) that it is of some privilege to find the time to work on your own mental health. However, we strongly believe reducing some of the anxieties out of your control gives you more energy into areas you can control. Our coaching sessions will hold the space, confidentiality, carving time for you to process these big feelings, safely, to shine a light on areas that help get you back to you! 🔗Link in bio #Coaching #MentalHealth #MentalHealthSupport #MentalHealthSupportWestYorkshire #LateDiagnosed #TheraputicResponse #Support

The Power of the HAND... Through touch it physically connects you with your surrounding environment. But also through touch, and the proximity to be able to touch even if you don't, further connects you more intimately with other people. For me, I want to cause a revival of in person meetings and events. This is why you're invited to our in-person guest event in NYC happening this Tuesday. We used to do these all the time but it's been We used to do these all the time but it's been 4.5 years. If isolation is becoming the new mental health crisis, then this is definitely a needed response. Because it's always been a human need. It's where people are the most intimately seen, heard, and understood. It's where we men have a sacred space to grow. You're showing up for yourself! 🏆 The rest of us will be there to show up for you also! 💪 In that way, we will be there to help you move the needle toward the change that you have identified is important to you.
