The Most Influential People in the Event Industry in 2024 include many people we all know and many tech people, some of whom we know. It has been a crazy year with lots of pluses. The list is presented in alphabetical order and contains the likes of many we see/communicate with regularly and tend to forget the load they bear. Each voter is allowed ten votes. I went to the end of the list and started backward. You can find the list at https://lnkd.in/eRMpN5xc. Once you pick your choices (you must log in to vote) and reach 10, you leave the site and can go back to edit because it retains your choices. Many of our industry leaders are on the list, such as Paul VanDeventer, Annette Gregg, CMM MBA Carina Bauer CED, Sherrif Karamat Amy Calvert Michael Dominguez, FASAE, CHSE, and folks like Tyler Davidson Tahira Endean, MsC, CITP, CMP, CED, and so many others. I recently came across a new business awards that truly stands out for its transparency and live ranking. Here’s how it works: after nominations, industry judges shortlist the top 100 finalists, and then we get to vote online to determine the Top Professional of the Year, as well as the Top 10, Top 50, and Top 100 winners. The best feature - a live leaderboard that shows current rankings and vote counts. How cool is that? I’ve already submitted my nomination for 2024 award and even volunteered to be a judge! When I first started in the Industry, speaking on stage was about credibility and content to deliver. Nowadays, it's all paid but these stage topics' popularity has decreased too. I guess everyone is looking for the right business model. Yet, it shouldn't be at the cost of poor content or such only purposed to sell.
