This is one, in my opinion, excellent example of when cops lack basic knowledge lets them down. "I feared for my life" is the go to excuse for most police shootings, but as is explained here succinctly, by a cop, talking about other cops, it doesn't have to be that way. #bjj Jiu jitsu is not my 'go-to' recommendation for civilian #selfdefence. However the police in Europe, the States or anywhere else in the world, have a different mission. They have to detain suspects, arrest their actions and possible take them into custody. Physical manipulation via close bodily contact! If you are Police anywhere in the world it is your obligation, to the people, the country and your team mates, to your families and to yourself to invest personally in your training. So as not to have to live with the consequences of bad decisions made under unnecessary and often self inflicted stresses.
