Autumn is nearly here! Make the most of the remaining summertime and spend some time in nature – and if you’re up for it, why not add some activity! Spending time outdoors has a positive impact on our mental health and can help us feel calmer and less stressed. This can be as simple as going for a walk in the park or the woods. Any amount of time doing this is good for us, but to really get the benefit, try to spend an hour or longer – when you can really connect with nature and immerse yourself. Exercise is also a great way of dealing with anxiety, so add some activity to your time outdoors and get the additional benefit. Activity doesn’t have to be vigorous; try some gentle stretches, yoga, or a gentle walk. If you are able to step this up and run, swim, or take part in a fitness class that’s great. Any amount of exercise will help. #wellbeingwednesday #projecthealthyhabits

This week is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and the 2024 theme is moving more for our mental health 🧠🏃♀️ ... So, we wanted to share with our community some of the best and more simple ways that we can all move more: 🌿 A relaxing walk A walk anywhere would be advised, but a walk in nature or somewhere you find particularly scenic or relaxing would be encouraged. Taking some time to just slow down and get your steps in really cannot be underrated for clearing the mind. 🧘♀️ Yoga Whether it be at home or a class, yoga helps to relieve stress and creates a sense of calmness. If you're a beginner, remember it does not matter if you cannot do all of the positions, it is just important to give it your best for your mental health. 🏊♀️ Swimming Being in the water can be very relaxing, but swimming also helps with your breathing! This can be a big help if you're suffering from anxiety. Of course, any form of exercise is great! These are just some more simple things that we think our community would enjoy! ☺️ Whether it be dancing or weightlifting, exercise is not just for the body, but the mind. In a world that encourages you to constantly hustle and grind, remember no one can pour from an empty cup ❤️ #WeArePower
