In this video I am showing how I use Simplifine (YC S24) to visualise the data in a single digital health intervention for diabetes; and then apply an inclusion criteria to, generate a 10-word summary for, and explain the study limitations of 55 papers in a few seconds. Recently thinking about adding a systematic review tool. Would this be helpful for your research? If so, we released our beta just yesterday! You can get started from www.simplifine.com

The results from this study are pretty compelling—overall victim satisfaction was higher, costs were lower, and there was a slight trend in better outcomes in terms of suspect identification, arrest, and charges resolved. If anything we can say (for this study) that virtual responses to non-emergency calls may be just effective in criminal justice outcomes as in person responses, but victim’s are happier, it costs less, and there’s greater collection of digital evidence and witness statements.
More evidence that doing video calls results in improved outcomes, new study by Barak Ariel and colleagues in Dorset, https://lnkd.in/eynQ6Zer. This is fairly small N, just a few over 1k total in treatment and control. Evidence that victims like this format better is very strong (both in this study and others). This study even has some evidence that it improves evidence collection and subsequent arrests.

Great video by Sylwia Kozak, TA from Switzerland, where she discusses the topic of missing data. She goes over the different missing data mechanisms, the implications of missing data in clinical research, and the strategies to manage it effectively. Sylvia also goes over an example of a cardiovascular trial with missing data. #missingdata #clinicalresearch #ppcrprogram #ppcr2024

Recently finished recording for The Global Exchange Conference. In collaboration with TPN health; this gave me the opportunity to record a presentation for it to be On Demand. The presentation chosen was "How We Speak Matters: Undoing Stigmatizing Language." Now, across the globe, people can learn about the importance of language and how we can undo it. You want to talk about harm reduction, retention, person-centered care, trauma-informed care, etc. then we must talk about the impact of stigmatizing language. We need to hold ourselves more accountable to the language we use as professionals. https://lnkd.in/gbptjCrF

Integration is a challenging concept in public health and in particular for public health laboratory systems. But there is one area where integration makes sense: specimen transport and referral. Join us on 13th March at our next public health labs webinar to learn from successful initiatives and discuss different models for specimen referral and transportation, looking at key considerations for their development and optimization. https://lnkd.in/dDWCrKTh
