The Proof of Stake mechanism presents a dilemma: while increased token staking enhances network security, it simultaneously reduces ecosystem liquidity. This structure complicates the alignment of incentives among ecosystem participants. To address this inherent challenge in PoS-based networks, Berachain introduces a novel consensus mechanism, Proof of Liquidity. This approach aims to concurrently bolster ecosystem liquidity and network security, while effectively aligning the interests of participating entities. The standards we all study and deal with when looking at cybersecurity risks, accreditation and authorization, and study as part of the wide range of cybersecurity certifications are well known to be under threat by the eventuality of quantum computing. I toured a number of labs in the U.S. and Europe run by academic institutions with government funding and that briefed on their various quantum computing innovations. There are lots of smart people racing to to achieve the goal. But so are the government funded labs of nations such as China or the PRC, the preferred term in diplomatic circles. Am I the only one who thinks this Post Quantum Assessment is a waste of time? Considering there is no FIPS update for post quantum cryptography, if anyone is using the new algorithms they would be non-compliant. It makes no sense to ask agencies or CSPs whether they're vulnerable. They're all vulnerable if they're compliant! At the same time, I can guarantee that this data will be accurate for about 5 minutes at the speed at which applications and services change. Is there an expectation to update this regularly? FedRAMP has not issued any guidance, and neither has DISA as far as I'm aware.

Today, PQShield announced a $37 million Series B funding round – just as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is due to publish the official standards for post-quantum cryptography (PQC). It’s the final milestone in a process that is driving the global transition to quantum-resistant cryptography, and that the PQShield team was heavily involved in. As governments and standards agencies race to protect our most sensitive data, the adoption of PQC has become a priority for companies across the technology supply chain. We’ve already seen strong demand for our secure cryptographic solutions for hardware, software and the cloud, and today’s funding will help us to get our products into the hands of more organisations on their journey to quantum security. The Series B was led by Addition, with participation from new investors Chevron Technology Ventures, Legal & General and Braavos Investment Advisers together with existing backers, Oxford Science Enterprises.
