Contextual motion information is incredibly valuable in senior care communities. By measuring and understanding individual motion patterns over time, we can spot unnoticed issues earlier.   The graph below shows a real-world example from a resident who consistently had restful nights with no pacing, wandering, or frequent bathroom visits. Suddenly, the restfulness score dropped significantly. Low restfulness values can indicate several issues, one of which is more frequent bathroom visits. The resident hadn’t mentioned anything to his caregivers, so no one knew. Thankfully, with the real-time “health is wealth” reports provided by Helpany, caregivers were able to proactively ask the right questions. Together with the resident, they pinpointed the issue — an undiagnosed urinary tract infection. As visible on the graph, after a few days of treatment, the resident's restfulness improved, providing the rest and recovery we all need and deserve.   Moreover, the caregiver highlighted that frequent nightly bathroom visits increased the resident’s fall risk.
