The addition of needed medications per patient increases the likelihood of negative drug interaction side effects, which can lead to unnecessary falls for patients. Having an integrated behavioral health program can help skilled nursing centers recognize these patients who are at risk. Our clinicians collaborate with the facility's multidisciplinary team and provide evaluations to assist in diagnosis and treatment recommendations to improve patient care and functioning. Determinations are then made on who will benefit from non-pharmacological psychological treatment, or who may need further medication management - all while assuring your compliance with current state regulations. https://lnkd.in/ejyK9P_n #SkilledNursing #BehavioralHealth #PatientCare #MedicationManagement #Healthcare #MentalHealth #TreatmentRecommendations #IntegratedCare #ClinicalCollaboration #Compliance #che

This post is not about doctors, asthma, or caregivers. It’s about the role of TRUST and COMMUNICATION in healing. The healthcare system is currently battling low recovery rates among patients with chronic conditions. It’s not a prescription problem. It’s not even a question of skills or capabilities. The answer is simple: most patients no longer trust the word of their caregivers. They trust the word of some holistic or DIY treatment influencer on social media because they feel connected to them. They feel like they belong to a community. I’ve worked with hospitals and nursing homes that saw the need to integrate play and community into their systems, and in less than 6 months, recovery rates improved drastically. Community builds belonging, and belonging builds trust. I’m currently offering support on community building for caregivers. If you’re trying to improve recovery rates and communication with your patients, send me a DM or book a call via my Calendly. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gZWWYkqy #itsyourscreativehealing #JenniferRichards #CreativeArtsTherapist #DramaTherapy #mentalhealthcounselor https://lnkd.in/egRvaEe6

One in three doctors report that prior authorization has led to serious adverse events for patients, including: ⚠️ Hospitalization ⚠️ Life-threatening situations ⚠️ Disability or permanent bodily damage ⚠️ Congenital anomalies ⚠️ Birth defects ⚠️ Death Physicians are concerned that prior authorization processes often lead to inefficient use of healthcare resources, resulting in unnecessary waste rather than cost savings. About two-thirds of doctors noted that prior authorization led to ineffective initial treatments (64%) or extra office visits (62%). Additionally, 46% of doctors reported that it caused patients to need urgent or emergency care. The AMA is advocating for reform to reduce waste, delays, and disruptions in care. This survey underscores the urgent need to improve the prior authorization process to enhance patient care and reduce administrative burdens. What are your thoughts on this issue?
