Numbers, Numbers & BIGGER numbers. We are updating both the Food Safe System Apps & Website, & it was brought up what our numbers look like. users, downloads, etc, so we started digging. One of the biggest features of Food Safe System is our automatic temperature monitoring of fridge & freezer temperatures using our (very awesome) wireless sensors, & they have produced some staggering numbers: Our first sensors were installed just over 4 years ago, (we had experimented with a few different types of sensors before then) Total number of automatically recorded sensor readings till this morning: 29,005,568 Taking into consideration that it takes an average of 90 seconds to record a temperature manually, we have saved our customers: 43,508,352 minutes or 725,139 hours or 82.78 years The number of SMS & email alerts we have sent when a cooler breached its set temperature. 202,656 Of those, just over 10% were critical alerts, i.e. the was an actual issue with the cooler, (as opposed to the door opening & closing during a busy service) 20,000 alerts saving an average of £450 per alert, The total value of food loss prevented by Food Safe System: £9,000,000 + I think we have done a good job so far. #hospitality #chefs #kitchenos
