Spooky Halloween and Diwali Blessings! After a whole night of spooky fun and plenty of treats, may this Diwali bring peace and prosperity to your life! Wishing you and your family a joyous and prosperous Diwali, with happiness, health, and wealth. With two years of Perspectives across metabolic and obesity care, comprising almost one hundred newsletters, reaching one thousand subscribers, with five thousand views per month, it is a time to reflect. The field of metabolic and obesity care, has spiraled to become part of our daily nomenclature – who knew about GLP-1s, Ozempic or compounding pharmacies two years ago? Bariatric surgery is now talked about more often too. Every employer and health plan has obesity care and GLP-1 meds on their C-suite agenda. Major news outlets have almost daily headlines on obesity. This weekly digest of all things obesity and metabolic care has achieved its goal, to educate and inform all stakeholders in the space. And with that, I thank you for your readership. Whilst you will no longer see this newsletter dropped on Sunday mornings, please do continue to follow me on LinkedIn for regular, timely and valuable updates across all of health and care. Thank you all, as we at twenty30 health continue to advance on whole-person, multimodal obesity care for all who need, want and deserve it. https://lnkd.in/esgWu_gR

✨ This Diwali...... As I sat down to send the usual “Happy Diwali” messages, I paused. Every year, we share the same greetings! This year, I wanted to express more than just a wish for happiness. We’ve all heard it: health is wealth. Yet, this truth often only hits home when our health falters. Heart disease, obesity, and diabetes are on everyone’s radar, and many of us know the importance of lifestyle choices in preventing them. But what about the quieter health concerns that fly under the radar—like gut health, where probiotics alone may not hold all the answers? Or autoimmune diseases like #celiac #chronsdisease #Rheumatoidarthritis #MS many more, which often require lifelong management? When we’re healthy, we take it for granted. But when health slips away, we watch as years of hard-earned savings can quickly vanish. This Diwali, let’s not just wish each other wealth and prosperity but prioritize health in every aspect of our lives. Let’s invest in our well-being, nurture our bodies and minds, and express gratitude for our health. Because a true celebration starts with feeling our best. 🌱💪 #HappyDiwali #HealthIsWealth #Gratitude #mentalhealth #wellness

Pre - Diwali preparations! Useful info on burns treatment .
This Diwali if you get burns, then don’t use toothpaste! Usually Indian families apply toothpaste, ice, mud, atta or cow dung on their burns, which worsens the burns! Toothpastes have sodium fluoride, which traps the heat under the skin and causes long-term damage to the skin. The menthol in toothpastes causes a cooling sensation while brushing, but this menthol worsens burns, and aggravates burning sensation. Similarly, using cow dung or mud gives an open invitation to infections. In order to save yourself from burns, apply plain water for 10-15 minutes continuously, and keep any anti-septic at home like Burnol or Burnfresh. Let us get rid of misinformation, and spread correct information to our friends and family! Happy Diwali!

As the festival of lights approaches, we find ourselves reflecting on the transitions in our lives. Diwali is not just a celebration of victory over darkness; it’s a poignant reminder of the journey we all undertake from childhood to adulthood. 🪔 As children,we express our feelings openly, whether they’re filled with joy or frustration. We complain about the smallest inconveniences—the long wait for our favorite sweets, a broken toy, or the dreaded homework. These grievances, though seemingly trivial, are our first encounters with the world around us. They teach us about our desires, our boundaries, and our resilience. But as we grow, something shifts. Society conditions us to “be strong,” to mask our vulnerabilities, and to hide our struggles behind a facade of composure. The complaints of our youth fade into the background, replaced by silent battles we fight alone. In this journey of growing up, we tend to overlook a crucial aspect: our health. The pressures of adulthood—be it work stress, family responsibilities, or societal expectations—can take a significant toll on our well-being. We push ourselves to the brink, neglecting our physical and mental health in the name of progress. This Diwali, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect. The iThrive #GrowUpHealthy campaign encourages us to acknowledge the complexities of growing up without sacrificing our health. It’s about finding the balance between facing life’s demands and caring for ourselves. 🤍 This festive season, we invite you to join us in celebrating the journey of growing up—one that embraces both the highs and the lows.☺️ So, as you celebrate this Diwali, remember to light the lamp of health. Because in the end, growing up means taking care of yourself—body, mind, and spirit. 🫶🏻🎇 #growuphealthy #diwali2024 #diwalicampaign #healthydiwali #thyroid #pcos #diabetes #guthealth #psoriasis #chronicillness #lifestyle #lifestylemodification #functionalmedicine #functionalnutrition #nutritionindia #ithrive
