ChemLink’s Post

Reflecting on the recent Chemlink event, the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company: ECHEM made a substantial contribution, enhancing the event’s significance. Dr. Tamer Heakal, PhD, general manager at Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company: ECHEM, kicked off the seminar by sharing their impressive accomplishments: ECHEM has developed seven large-scale projects under Egypt's Petrochemical Master Plan. These include the Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene plant, serving local detergent demands; the MOPCO facility, producing urea; and the E-Methanex plant, with methanol production capacity. Their ETHYDCO complex in Alexandria further boosts Egypt’s standing in North Africa’s petrochemical sector, producing vital materials like ethylene and polyethylene. Following the seminar, Dr. Tamer Heakal, PhD took the time to engage with student graduation projects, providing insightful feedback to help students connect their ideas to practical industry applications. His guidance helped bridge the gap between academic work and real-world demands. We extend our deepest gratitude to Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company: ECHEM for their invaluable support and for making the Chemlink event a meaningful experience. We look forward to their continued support with graduation projects throughout the year, so we can work together toward achieving excellent outcomes.
