🎙️Know Your Worth & Be Your Authentic Self 🌟 Whether you stumble on phrases or feel like an imposter on occasion, in presenting or going for an interview, remember to slow down and be your authentic self. Sonia McDonald is a superstar coach in this space and she’s hiring a Leadership Facillitator in Sydney too! She shares her thoughts below, which I ❤️ around the BIG 🐝s - be bold, have belief, be brave 🐝 As recruiters we often feel the pressure to have all the answers, make the perfect match, and drive flawless results. But behind the scenes, many of us grapple with impostor syndrome — that nagging feeling of self-doubt or not being good enough, did I let down one of my candidate’s. Here’s the truth: We all face it! 🎯 Here’s what has helped me stay grounded: 1️⃣ Focus on Growth, Not Perfection: Recruitment is about continuous learning, not flawless execution. Every interaction is a chance to improve. 2️⃣ Celebrate Wins, Big or Small: Take time to reflect on the placements you’ve made, the careers you’ve impacted, and the relationships you’ve built. These are worth celebrating. And we’re good at it! 3️⃣ Be Authentic: You don’t need to pretend to be someone else. Embrace your unique approach, strengths, and values. It’s your authenticity that will set you apart. I have this in sades btw 😉 4️⃣ Lean on Your Network: Talk to mentors, peers, or friends in the industry. Sometimes, a fresh perspective is all it takes to reframe self-doubt. Let’s continue to show up as our true selves and remember — the best results come with an open mind, trust in your partnership and constantly learning, growing, and supporting one another. 💪 What’s your experience with impostor syndrome? How do you overcome it in your career? At Thomas Executive we partner with candidates to find the right fit and help with the self belief, we are honest in feedback on suitability for roles, pitches and the job hunt. We provide specific tips tailored to your recruitment or executive search needs. If you’d like to work with a trusted partner then please reach out to one of our expert consultants!
