“When is it best to use manual touch-up, before automatic guns or after?” The answer to this question depends somewhat on the piece being powder coated, explains #JoePowder. For example, it can be beneficial when dealing with tight corners to manually address the corners prior to bringing out the automatic spray guns. Selecting a spray gun for an industrial machine parts painting line, making the right choice can significantly impact our efficiency, quality, and overall production costs. The four critical mistakes to avoid. Ignoring the Material Type: Not all spray guns are created equal. Choosing a gun without considering the specific material being sprayed can lead to poor coverage, inconsistent finishes, and even equipment damage. Overlooking Transfer Efficiency: High transfer efficiency reduces waste and ensures a uniform coating. Selecting a spray gun with low efficiency can result in excessive overspray, leading to increased material costs and more time spent on cleanup. Neglecting Ergonomics: Operator fatigue is a real issue in a high-production environment. A poorly designed spray gun can lead to repetitive strain injuries and decreased productivity. Underestimating Maintenance Needs: Some spray guns require more frequent cleaning and maintenance than others. Failing to account for this can lead to unexpected downtime and reduced equipment lifespan. Avoid these mistakes to ensure spray gun selection supports production goals, enhances quality, and minimizes operational costs. #IndustrialPainting #SprayGunSelection#ManufacturingExcellence#CoatingIndustry#ProductionEfficiency#QualityControl#IndustrialCoatings#ProcessOptimization#LeanManufacturing#SurfaceFinishing

This is a case about stripping enameled wire paint. We will integrate laser cleaning into the motor production process to replace the backward Acid cleaning. Laser cleaning can easily peel off unwanted coatings without damaging the rest. It is easy to notice that laser cleaning does not require cleaning media, but few realize the #accuracy of laser cleaning. No doubt that laser cleaning is the most precise cleaning method currently available. #coatingpeeling #lasercleaning #precisecleaning #cleaningautomation #acidcleaning

Troubleshootings in actual use of Airless Paint Sprayer: Asking: I had to spray it in short 10-20 second bursts and let go of the trigger to let the pump catch up. When the unit is fully pumped up and it shuts off, I only got about 7-10 seconds of continuous spraying before the pump kicked back on. If I continued to spray, it just lost pressure until it was shooting spatter. Answering: This issue could be due to a few different factors: Pump Faulty: The pump inside the sprayer may be faulty, causing it to lose pressure and not hold up to continuous spraying for extended periods of time. Filter Leakage: A faulty or dirty filter can cause the sprayer to lose pressure and not hold up to continuous spraying for extended periods of time. Tank Leakage: If the tank is leaking, it can cause the sprayer to lose pressure and not hold up to continuous spraying for extended periods of time. Intake Valve Faulty: The intake valve may be faulty, causing the sprayer to lose pressure and not hold up to continuous spraying for extended periods of time. Connections Faulty: The connections between the sprayer and the nozzle or hose may be faulty, causing the sprayer to lose pressure and not hold up to continuous spraying for extended periods of time. To troubleshoot this issue, you may need to inspect the pump, filter, tank, intake valve, and connections for any signs of wear or damage. You may also want to consider replacing the pump or other components if the problem persists.

Are you familiar with the process of testing #paint adhesion, particularly through #ISO2409 standards? This standard holds significant importance in the coatings industry for evaluating the adhesion of paint films. It prescribes the transverse #cross-hatch test method, wherein a cutting knife is employed to incise the coating into small #grids. These grids are then covered with tape and promptly removed to observe the extent of paint film peel-off, subsequently enabling assessment of adhesion quality.

😊 😊 😊 How to solve the problem when the color change and cleaning of the spray booth takes too long or is difficult to clean 1. Improve the unreasonable structure of the spray booth; 2. Train operators to skillfully cooperate in cleaning the spray booth system; 3. Improve the automation level of the spray room, such as installing a powder center with automatic cleaning function. Or add more components that facilitate color change, such as an extra powder tube for each set of spray guns, a few more powder buckets, etc., and try to be dedicated to spot colors. #powdercoating #Powdercoatings #fabrication
