Should young lawyers be asking themselves "where is my passion and sense of purpose" or at least "where do I find meaning in my work" or even "what do I enjoy"? Law firm partners work long hours, sacrifing personal time - more than a "job" or "career", we have always spoken about law as a "vocation" or even "calling" (such an old fashioned word - like joining the church!). In my view if you don´t enjoy it, you won´t succeed, normal people will quite rightly give up as the sacrifice is too high. But for those who tuned in, I´m not sure I convinced Patricia and Stephen that "passion" is the right word. Next time!
