Over the past few weeks, I've engaged in fascinating discussions about the state of SportsTech with leaders in the space across various markets. These conversations were largely around the technologies being used, upcoming products and innovations, and preparations for each individuals upcoming season (or in the case of sports betting/fantasy- all the big ones) One consistent theme emerged - the transformative impact of technology and innovation on the seasonality of sports. This shift is enabling fans to connect with their favorite sports year-round- we've only began to scratch the surface. Exciting times ahead for sports enthusiasts! On that note...here is how poorly I have done the following couple of weeks using The Premier League: Week 2: How many points were scored? 63 Best performer(s)? Reflecting on my journey with sports, it's remarkable how certain moments leave a mark on our lives. My first ever sports memory traces back to the 1998 World Cup final, where Brazil faced a tough defeat against France. Fast forward to 2000, and I recall my first memory with the football team I support. However, my journey with American sports took a significant turn in 2008 during the NBA finals. The intensity of the games and rivalry captured my attention in a way I hadn't experienced before. Recently, I had the privilege of visiting the Hudl headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska, which proved to be an amazing experience. Touring the University Stadium and witnessing firsthand how our products and solutions have revolutionized team performance was truly inspiring. The impact of technology in sports cannot be overstated, and seeing its tangible benefits reaffirmed my belief in its transformative power. In a world where prioritizing technological investment may not always be the immediate focus, it's crucial to recognize the profound impact it can have on our work. The ability to enhance training, optimize performance, and gain valuable insights is invaluable in the competitive landscape of sports.
