The End of the Golden Age for ICT Jobs in Luxembourg? IT resource needs have decreased in Luxembourg: the data from ADEM show that the gap between positions reported during the month (268) and those that remain vacant at the end of the month (502) has reached its lowest point since 2016. This decline appears more pronounced over the past year for specialized roles (cloud, security, architecture) (-55.5% year-on-year), consulting and project management (-74.1%), Full Stack Developers (-75%), and profiles working in IT security (-72%). We observe a smaller erosion in roles related to IT production (-10%). What these figures reveal, people on the ground feel, and it is no longer uncommon to find cybersecurity experts actively seeking employment. I had already predicted the demise of Java Full Stack developers in February 2023, and the trend seems to be proving me right. Is this the end of a model or just a temporary downturn? I lean toward the former. The trend appears to have been confirmed since the peak reached after the Covid outbreak in November 2022. Traditional players, by pooling IT solutions, infrastructure, and exploring new sourcing avenues, have met their local IT staffing needs. New growth will be driven by innovation in emerging sectors (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Data science, Cyber security and Risk Management, Fintech). However, in these new jobs (some of which are still being imagined), we sorely lack dashboards because the currently low employment volumes in these areas go unnoticed, and the proposed nomenclatures are completely inadequate for describing them with the desired level of granularity. #TechTrends | #Cybersecurity | #DigitalInnovation | #DataScience | #Fintech | #CareerInsights

The current US market, many jobs are available in the IT (Information Technology) field for people who work on short-term contracts, called C2C (Contract-to-Contract) positions. Some of the most popular jobs include software development, where people create computer programs and apps, and cybersecurity, which involves protecting computers from hackers. There are also many jobs in data science, where experts analyze big sets of data, and cloud computing, which involves working with online data storage and services. Additionally, there are opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), where machines learn to do tasks that normally need human intelligence. Jobs in IT support, where workers help fix computer problems, and project management, where managers help teams complete projects, are also in high demand. Both Tier 1 companies, like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, and Tier 2 companies, such as regional tech firms and specialized startups, are offering these opportunities. For instance, Tier 2 companies like Epic Systems in the healthcare domain, Blackboard in the education sector, and ServiceNow in IT services are actively hiring. Statewide, different sectors are showing strong demand for IT professionals. For example, in California, the tech industry is booming with companies of all sizes looking for talent. In Texas, the healthcare and energy sectors are increasingly integrating IT solutions, creating more opportunities. States like New York and Massachusetts are also seeing a rise in IT jobs within the financial and biotech industries, respectively. This diversity means that whether you're aiming to work for a major global player or an innovative smaller company, there are plenty of options. The future of IT looks very promising, with continuous advancements and new technologies creating even more job opportunities. For anyone considering a career in IT, now is a great time to get involved and explore these exciting prospects.
