Hilton recently released its 2025 Trends Report: The Vacation Maximized, covering travel trends to watch in the coming year. Hilton surveyed 13,000 adults from 13 countries, with plans to travel in the next 12 months; collected feedback from over 4,100 Hilton team members; and conducted interviews with Hilton travel experts. According to the report, travelers in 2025 will be looking to pair their desire to relax and recharge with high-impact adventures and experiences to maximize time and financial investment. “Our 2025 Trends Report uncovers what has been simmering for years – the intersection of work and play; of relaxation and adventure; of being alone but together. Travelers don’t just want to choose their own adventure – they want to maximize every moment of their time away,” said Chris Nassetta, president and chief executive officer, Hilton. “This new data reveals a fascinating dichotomy and growing focus on experiences that will keep us on our toes, constantly evolving to meet the needs of tomorrow’s traveler.” Trends include adventure seeking, slow travel, nostalgic travel, high tech meets digital detox, and solo travel (which Hilton calls “memooning”). We asked Amanda Al-Masri to talk about the trends and the report. Here's what she had to say!

4 Self-Care Travel Tips to Transform Your Next Getaway In our fast-paced world, taking a break is more than just an escape—it’s a necessity for well-being and productivity. More travelers today are focusing on self-care while exploring new destinations, ensuring they come back refreshed and recharged rather than exhausted. Here are four powerful self-care travel tips to help you make the most of your next trip and return feeling truly renewed. 1. Plan for Downtime While it’s tempting to fill every moment with activities, overloading your itinerary can lead to burnout. Schedule downtime each day to truly savor your surroundings and give yourself space to rest. Downtime is essential for our mental health, offering a balance to the stimulation of new environments. By slowing down, you’ll find it easier to engage with each experience and make lasting memories. 2. Pack Your Comfort Essentials When you’re away from home, a few familiar comforts can go a long way in making you feel grounded. Consider bringing items that help you relax, such as cozy clothing layers, a journal, calming essential oils, or a favorite book. These small comforts provide a sense of familiarity, especially when traveling solo or in a fast-paced environment. When we’re comfortable, we’re more likely to feel relaxed and ready to take on new experiences. This intentional packing keeps you balanced, both mentally and physically. 3. Prioritize Hydration and Healthy Snacks Traveling is exciting, but it can also take a toll on your body. Prioritize hydration by keeping a reusable water bottle handy, and pack nourishing snacks like nuts, fruits, or granola bars. Opt for local dishes that fuel your body rather than drain it—staying mindful of what you consume will help maintain your energy levels and support a smoother, more enjoyable experience. Hydration and nutrition are fundamental to keeping our bodies functioning at their best. This simple practice ensures you have the energy to make the most of every moment on your journey. 4. Disconnect to Reconnect One of the best parts of travel is the opportunity to disconnect from daily life. Give yourself permission to unplug from your devices for parts of the trip, allowing time to reconnect with your surroundings. Without the constant notifications, you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in the experience and engage with each moment mindfully. Research shows that reducing screen time can reduce stress and improve mental clarity. By disconnecting, you can fully reconnect—with both yourself and the incredible environment around you. Self-care travel is about making intentional choices that benefit your mental and physical health. By incorporating these self-care tips into your journey, you’ll not only enjoy the sights but also return with a renewed sense of balance, focus, and fulfillment.

In my professional experience, I've encountered many people and clients who feel anxious and stressed when traveling, sometimes to the point of avoiding it altogether. However, I believe that traveling is like opening a window to awareness, positivity, and growth. If you're skeptical about traveling due to your feelings, let me share some tips that can help you embrace the idea and provide tools to make your journeys more enjoyable and frequent. 🥂🥰 🎉Plan Ahead: Create a detailed itinerary to minimize uncertainty. Book accommodations and transportation in advance. Research your destination to know what to expect. 🎉Pack Wisely: Make a checklist to ensure you don’t forget essentials. Pack early to avoid last-minute stress. Keep important documents and items in a carry-on. 🎉Stay Organized: Use travel apps like TripIt to keep all your travel details in one place. Keep a folder for physical documents like tickets, itineraries, and passports. 🎉Practice Relaxation Techniques: Deep breathing exercises can help calm your nerves. Practice mindfulness or meditation to stay present. Progressive muscle relaxation can help reduce physical tension. 🎉Stay Healthy: Get enough sleep before and during your trip. Stay hydrated and eat nutritious meals. Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol, which can increase anxiety. 🎉Allow Extra Time: Arrive at the airport or station early to avoid rushing. Give yourself time to relax between activities and connections. Stay Connected: Keep in touch with friends and family for support. Use technology to stay informed about travel conditions. 🎉Set Realistic Expectations: Accept that things might not always go as planned. Be flexible and open to changes in your itinerary. Bring Comfort Items: Carry items that help you relax, like a book, music, or a cozy blanket. Noise-canceling headphones can help create a peaceful environment. 🎉Seek Professional Help where needed: If your anxiety is severe, consider speaking to a therapist or counselor. They can provide coping strategies and, if necessary, medication. 🎉Travel Companions: Traveling with someone you trust can provide comfort and support. Share responsibilities to lessen individual stress. 🎉Engage With A Trusted Travel Curator: You don’t have to do it All ! Engage a trusted travel curator who can help you with trip planning and booking as well as recommendations and support, providing reassurance and solutions for unexpected issues. 🎉Focus on the Positive: Remind yourself of the exciting aspects of your trip. This year is another big travel year for me – both for business and pleasure. I just moved to Vieques Puerto Rico! I love visiting new places — giving talks and meeting with new inspiring people in the field. But as we all know, it’s a challenge to stay grounded and fit when traveling, though. I’ve had many people ask me lately what I do to accomplish this, so I thought I'd share some tips here. (And I would love to hear other great tips and tricks from all my fellow travelers out there!) 🚰 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drinking water is crucial, especially while flying. That’s why I always carry my 40-ounce Mira insulated water bottle with me. It’s empty before going through security and I fill it up in the lounge before boarding. Not only am I reducing plastic, but the flight drink schedule also is not enough for me. 🛫 Fly thoughtfully. If possible, I get an aisle seat so I can move around the cabin to stretch my legs and get the blood flowing periodically. I connect to the WiFi and find myself extremely productive on flights. And you can’t beat a glass of Prosecco for relaxing while I’m at it — I’m all about balance. 🧘♀️ Exercise. I try to book hotels that have gyms so I can do a 30-minute run or power-incline walk. Regardless, I always take my Jade travel yoga mat that’s just 1/18 inches thick. It’s so thin, I can fold it up and put in my carry on. As a minimum, I do a 30-minute yoga session every morning in my hotel room — or even on a cement patio if it’s nice outside — followed by 15 minutes of jumping jacks, squats, pushups and lunges. It really helps me loosen up, breathe, feel grounded and clear, especially before giving a big presentation. 🥦 BYO nutrients. At home, I start every morning with a satiating protein shake and bring everything I need to make it on the road. I portion out my plant-based protein in Ziploc snack packs and add my Koyah freeze-dried beets and broccoli sprouts, collagen, fiber and greens. I just add water in my shaker bottle and I’m ready for breakfast. I do the same for my daily vitamins too. 🥗 Eat well. When attending client and event dinners, I order the menu items that most resemble what I eat at home, like lean protein or fish with a salad – but occasionally treat myself to dessert. It always goes back to balance! It’s all a routine at this point, which means I don’t even have to think much about it when I head out. I find that just a little bit of planning goes a long way to maintaining my regimen while traveling. Looking forward to hearing your tips for the road as well! #travel #traveltips #health #wellness #businesstravel #bleisure

New Post: Creating a Family Travel Vision Board - https://lnkd.in/gKwCV5km a Family Travel Vision Board Hello, amazing moms! I'm excited to share one of my favorite tools for manifesting dream vacations: the travel vision board. As a mom of three boys, including one with ADHD and another with juvenile arthritis, I’ve found that creating a vision board helps us visualize and plan our perfect trips. It’s a fun and interactive way to set travel goals and make them a reality. Let’s dive into how you can create a family travel vision board that inspires and guides your future adventures. Step 1: Gather Your Supplies Creating a vision board is a creative process, so gather all the materials you’ll need: Poster Board or Corkboard: A large surface to arrange your images and words. Magazines and Travel Brochures: For cutting out pictures of destinations, activities, and travel inspiration. Scissors and Glue: To cut and paste your images and words. Markers and Stickers: For adding personal touches and highlighting important elements. Printouts: If you don’t have magazines, you can print images and quotes from the internet. Step 2: Set Your Travel Intentions Before you start cutting and gluing, have a family meeting to discuss your travel goals and dreams. What destinations do you want to visit? What activities do you want to try? Setting clear intentions helps focus your vision board on what truly matters to your family. Step 3: Choose Images and Words Look for images and words that represent your travel goals and dreams. Here are some ideas to consider: Destinations: Photos of places you want to visit, such as national parks, beaches, or cities. Activities: Images of activities you want to do, like hiking, swimming, or sightseeing. Travel Modes: Pictures of different ways to travel, such as airplanes, cars, or boats. Inspirational Quotes: Words that inspire and motivate you to achieve your travel dreams. Family Photos: Include pictures of your family to personalize your vision board. Step 4: Arrange and Glue Once you have your images and words, it’s time to arrange them on your board. This is where your creativity comes in! Place your main travel goals in the center and surround them with supporting images and quotes. Use glue to secure everything in place. Encourage your kids to help with this step—they’ll love being part of the process. Step 5: Add Personal Touches Make your vision board uniquely yours by adding personal touches. Use markers to write down specific travel goals or dates. Add stickers to highlight important elements. Personalizing your board makes it more meaningful and motivating. Step 6: Display Your Vision Board Place your vision board somewhere visible, like the living room or kitchen. Seeing it daily helps keep your travel goals top of mind and motivates you to take action towards achieving them. Encourage your fami

Travel Lacks Transformative Power on its Own; You have to do the Work We see and hear the term “Transformative Travel” all over the place from travel agents to organizations to hospitality companies and beyond because it’s trendy and may appeal to the current traveler but, travel isn’t transformative on its own. Just getting on a plane, train, or bus and going somewhere where you try new foods, meet new people, enjoy different activities, take a hike, relax at the beach, stay in hotels, and immerse yourself into the local culture simply isn’t going to transform you. You have to do the inner work in order for a transformation to take place. I am a big believer in the transformative power of travel because I have experienced it first hand after buying a one-way ticket, packing a backpack, and spending over a decade traveling the globe solo. It wasn’t the act of traveling or visiting new places that did it for me. It was the fact that I was looking for something deeper out of the experience than just traveling. It’s not just me either. The tens of thousands of other travelers that I have met throughout my journey and within The Travel Coach Network, share how travel has transformed them through healing, self-discovery, clarity, life direction, etc, from human connection, getting out of their comfort zone, learning new skills, spending time in nature, deepening their empathy and understanding of others, and more. Inner transformation often requires a combination of introspection, personal growth, and intentional action. That’s why Travel Coaching has been on the rise. Travel Coaches help people gain self-awareness, mindfulness, open-mindedness, courage, self-compassion, and better understand of their “why” for travel by setting intentions for their trips. To transform through travel, you need a level of self-awareness. What are you looking for in life? Your relationships? Work-life? Wellbeing? Are you open to finding the answers to your unasked questions? What kind of journey are you in need of? So what is my point? Travel shouldn’t just be marketed as “transformative” without the proper guidance and support. The work needs to done by the travelers to be able to take their travel experiences and have them change them within in some way. The average traveler may not be aware of just how impactful their travel experience can be. That’s where tourism and hospitality experts need to step up to help facilitate that opportunity, especially in the post-trip phase. How can what the traveler has experienced be applied to who they are and their life upon return? When intention is applied to the travel process, the level of transformation can be endless. Are you ready to transform the lives of others through travel?
